| Don't get me wrong- I understand what you're saying, and I agree that the idea of Adama sitting in orbit for a year is pretty ridiculous. All I'm saying is that Adama wouldn't have needed to pull strings to get Maya to work with Roslin-if anything, Roslin and Adama probably just agreed to keep tabs on her and Isis. The child is simply too valuable to forget about. The only question is, will the Cylons know she lives? | : As far as we know, the Cylons haven't actually successfully conceived a hybrid outside Sharon/Helo. Therefore, the Cylons likely don't know ''exactly'' what they are looking for. As far as the Cylons know, Sharon had the baby but it died afterward. -- [[User:Joe Beaudoin Jr.|Joe Beaudoin]] 09:45, 17 March 2006 (CST)

| ::Yeah, I think we are in basic agreement. What is critical to me are the facts that (1) Maya and Hera/Isis are definitely under the eye of Roslin; (2) Adama knows who what Hera/Isis is and where she is; (3) Adama and Roslin are obviously close, or at least were close; and (4) Baltar apparently still knows nothing. In fact, I think it's possible (though we won't know til later) that Adama hesitated to retreat from New Caprica precisely because he wanted time to grab Hera (and maybe Roslin too) before leaving. Adama had to know there was no way they were going to get roughly 40,000 people off-planet and safely away before they were wiped out by the Cylon force. Lee knew it instantly, and said so. I think Adama was actually considering if he had time to evacuate some 'key' personnel and/or equipment, and realized either that he did not have time, or else that in itself might tip the Cylons to some things he did not want thme to know. --[[User:Felix Culpa|Felix Culpa]] 09:50, 17 March 2006 (CST)
