| :Is it explicitly stated that Galactica only had a single squadron of Vipers still on duty? We see a full squadron destroyed in the first sortie of the miniseries, after which Galactica apparently can still field two squadrons of mixed Mk. II and Mk. VII fighters in the last combat sequence. This would make a certain amount of sense - presumably a normal battlestar has four squadrons, two in each flight pod. With the starboard pod hosting a museum, there would have been two Mk. VII squadrons in the port flight pod. --[[User:April Arcus|April Arcus]] 20:19, 19 September 2005 (EDT)

| It could have just been me, but I swore there were Vipers launching out of the flight pod during the freefall to New Caprica.
