Additionally, the Seraphs have the ability to warp ships and time travel at will.<ref name="dorsey"/>

== Dynamite Comics ==

Decades later, the term is used for the [[Beings of Light]] in the [[Dynamite Comics]] saga, collected in {{comics|folly}}.

The Seraphs, per {{alt|Iblis}}'s machinations, are drawn into the [[black hole]] and separate realm created by Iblis himself, using {{alt|Baltar|TOS}} and {{alt|Adama|TOS}}'s {{alt|The Fleet|TOS|Fleet}} as bait to play upon "their weakness" of compassion ({{comics|vol3|4}}). Using his force of [[Meclons]], Iblis destroys the {{alt|Ship of Lights}}; he is unaware that they know of his plan, and reveal themselves once {{alt|Apollo|TOS}} and his father break Iblis' possession of Adama ({{comics|vol3|5}}).

The Seraphs use their power to save the marooned survivors from [[Iblis' planet]], and to escape from their doomed ship, their number spread throughout the Fleet while escaping back into the known universe. By their efforts, they broker a firmer peace between the Cylons and the surviving humans ({{comics|vol3|5}}).

* The term [[w:seraph|seraph]] is applied to angelic or celestial beings, originating from [[w:Ancient Judaism|Ancient Judaism]]. While the beings in the [[Original Series]] are not referred to thusly within the series proper, the term has been applied to the [[Beings of Light]] by fandom in the absence of a definitive canonical term.
