Editing Salik

Senior [[life-sciences]] officer of the Battlestar Galactica, Salik is an aging, 50-something male who had been with the <i>[[Galactica (TOS)|Galactica]]</i> prior to the [[Cylon Attack|destruction of]] the [[Twelve Colonies (TOS)|Colonies]]. He has a long and decorated history of abiding to the [[Hippocratic Oath]] and morality. His high morals have made himself a logical friend of [[Adama (TOS)|Commander Adama]]'s for quite some time. Salik and a contingent of [[medtechs]] volunteered to take a [[medical shuttle]] down to the asteroid where [[Jolly (TOS)|Jolly]] and [[Boomer (TOS)|Boomer]] had been infected with the seemingly incurable disease. Although he attempted to do his best to cure all those infected, he was unable to do so without obtaining a living virus culture itself. Under escort by rookie shuttle-turned-[[Viper (TOS)|Viper]] pilots trained by [[Apollo (TOS)|Apollo]] and [[Starbuck (TOS)|Starbuck]], he and his medtechs managed to devise a cure for the ailment. Along with [[Cassiopeia]] and other medtechs, he later saved Adama's life, though not without a few scares first -- particularly power-interruptions from destabilized [[energizers]]. He did object to [[Wilker]]'s rather unscientific attempts to discern the technology in the [[Terran]]-made [[Lunar Avion|craft]], and later on flat-out refused to the [[Quorum of Twelve (TOS)|Quorum]]'s and [[Sire]] [[Geller]]'s edict to open up the [[cryogenic suspension chambers]] on the <i>[[Lunar Avion]]</i>. Due to this act, he was relieved from duties regarding the "[[Earthlings]]".  In concert with Starbuck, Apollo, Adama, and Cassiopeia, they plotted to put Michael and the other Terrans back in their craft and send them [[Paradeen|on their way]] with a Viper escort. He happened to be in the bay at the time the <i>Avion</i> launched, and when Sire Geller inquired on being in the [[life-sciences station]], he commented, barely able to withhold his laughter, that Geller relieved him.
