'''Planet Starbuck''' is a barren, desert-like planet that its sole Colonial occupant, [[Starbuck (1980)|Starbuck]], names after himself. It is in proximity of at least three stars, and no fewer than five planetoids that are visible in the planet's night sky. 

During [[Battle near Planet Starbuck|the battle above]] this planet, Lieutenants [[Boomer (1980)|Boomer]] and Starbuck engage a squadron on [[Cylons (TOS)|Cylon]] [[Raider (TOS)|Raider]]s. With Starbuck's {{TOS|Viper}} too damaged to make it back to the [[the Fleet (TOS)|Fleet]], Starbuck makes his one-way trip to, and begins to grow lonely on, the planet. 

He happens across a surviving Raider that crash-landed from the earlier encounter, and constructs a shelter from its debris. He rebuilds a lone [[Centurion (TOS)|Centurion]] whom he calls [[Cy]], building a rapport and friendship with, culminating into Cy's discovery of the pregnant [[Angela]]. Together, Cy and Starbuck construct [[Hybrid craft|a craft from surviving components of both fighters]], capable of sending Angela and [[Doctor Zee|her newborn child]] beyond the planet and to the [[Galactican Fleet]].

Another Raider lands on the planet following the launch, [[Skirmish on Planet Starbuck|resulting in the death of Cy]] and Starbuck seemingly marooned there {{G80|The Return of Starbuck}}.
