The '''microwave''' is an Earth culinary preparation device for the heating of food or drink. 

Unbeknownst to both the Earthlings and their [[Galactican|distant brothers]], the microwave is an effective means of disabling [[Centurion (1980)|Centurions]]. 

In one known instance, [[Arnie]] uses his apartment microwave to heat up a new batch of his infamous [[Arnie's meatballs|meatballs]]. In doing so, [[Centuri]] succumbs to the affects of the microwave's emissions, and causes a commotion that summons [[Andromus]].  

Andromus deftly dispatches the microwave with the energy weapon imbued into his hand, destroying the microwave and resulting in the mass exodus due to the resultant fire―initially believed by [[Norman Blore]] to be gunpowder mixed inside of Arnie's special delicacy {{G80|The Night the Cylons Landed, Part II}}.
