'''Meclons''' originated as a {{alt|Cylons|TOS|Cylon}} cautionary myth regarding a caste of rogue Cylons ({{comics|vol3|4}}). 

The term is later adopted by cybernetic, bi-pedaled creatures who transported through a [[black hole]] and unto a [[Iblis' planet|planet]] in a universe of {{alt|Iblis}} creation; these original creatures were {{alt|Cylons|TOS|Cylon}} ({{comics|vol3|3}} & {{comics|vol3|4|short=yes}}).

These separated Cylons built a new empire under the direction of Count Iblis, scavenging both raw material and other sentients in order to bolster their number ({{comics|vol3|3}}).

Centurions are the backbone of Iblis' Meclon Empire, and are organized along the same lines as the Cylon Empire, with a Command Centurion in gold armor and standard Centurions in silver armor.

They are, however, not pure technological constructs as the raw brain power is from organic life. Wayward travelers ensnared in the grasp of the black hole and misfortunate enough to survive upon the lone planetary surface are hunted down by Meclon Centurions, and transported to factories for their integration as subjects of the Meclon Empire ({{comics|vol3|2}} & {{comics|vol3|3|short=y}}).

Meclons primary craft is a variation of the {{alt|Raider|TOS|Cylon Raider}} space superiority craft. These Raiders are used primarily to hunt and ensnare marooned survivors for integration into the Empire ({{comics|vol3|2}}), and later made use of Raiders as weapons themselves in kamikaze runs against the {{alt|Ship of Lights}} to devastating effect ({{comics|vol3|5}}).  

Upon entering into Iblis' realm, the strength of Meclon Raider craft is enough for {{alt|Lucifer}} to consider his {{alt|basestar|TOS}}'s retreat from their first engagement against them, and to seek sanctuary {{alt|The Fleet|TOS|with the humans they previously hunted}} ({{comics|vol3|2}} & {{comics|vol3|3|short=y}}).

Technologically speaking, the Raiders are mostly automated, and take three people to operate with relative ease. They feature a life-support system that is human-breathable, given the Meclons cybernetic nature ({{comics|vol3|3}}).

== Notes ==

* The Meclon "cautionary myth" is dismissed by {{alt|Lucifer}} as a completely failed "early attempt" at control programming ({{comics|vol3|4}}). Given Iblis' influence over the Cylons leading into the [[Thousand Yahren War]] with the humans, Iblis' likely attempted to program more than his voice into the {{alt|Imperious Leader}}. As Lucifer is part of the [[IL-series]], his knowledge of these cautionary myths is quite possibly unique amongst the other Cylon classes.
