You were aware that I am among the leaders of the massive Nicki "Cally" Clyne fan movement?  She's the Anti-Seven of Nine!  There are others more important than me, Solium who owns the official Nicki Clyne fansite, Nibblerfan who made that music video of Nicki (available at Galactiacastation.com).  I'm constantly praising Cally in all places though, and I've developed an actual treatise on it so it's more than just "wow she's pretty"; in short, we like BSG because it is a direct reaction to how Rick Berman and Brannon Braga messed up Star Trek during Voyager and Enterprise, and Ron Moore's Naturalistic science fiction on BSG is really a direct reaction to all of this.  By the same token, Nicki "Cally" Clyne is very popular with the fans and grew out of a grassroots movement (see "Bastille Day" DVD transcript I made, we liked her and they gave her more to do) that was a reaction to Seven of Nine or T'Pol type Hot Space Babes [TM] which were actually just blatant grabs for ratings, and had poor character development, and overshadowed all of the minor cast members.  Meanwhile, Cally is a Tertiary cast member that is a female, but is treated as a normal character and is actually given a lot of plot development and involvement in episodes.  Yes, you CAN have a meaningful female non-main cast member who is a well developed, popular character, Berman!  She's the girl next door!  All of the laws have changed! --The Merovingian (C - E) 16:12, 15 April 2006 (CDT)

Got a source for this photo, Merv? -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate 22:07, 15 April 2006 (CDT)
:Solium, owner of the official Nicki Clyne fansite (linked at the bottom of this article) of which I am a prominent member, e-mailed it to me directly when I requested it of him.  He, in turn, recieved it directly from Nicki Clyne in a package, in response to fan mail which he gave her.  He subsequently scanned it, and uses it in the banner art on her fansite.  --The Merovingian (C - E) 22:12, 15 April 2006 (CDT)
