:A) It is impossible to tell from this shot if the armor is there or not or whatever. B) We've pretty much settled upon the idea that the Novelization is in no way canoncial (although it's fun for several tidbits). C) I think we also figured out that the original battlestar class, "Galacitca-type Battlestars", weren't all retired: what Doral meant by "last of her kind" is that Galactica was never given major upgrades and refits, while the other ones were; I think their hulls were heavily refitted. Sort of like how the USS Missouri saw service in both World War II and Persian Gulf I. --The Merovingian 12:39, 10 February 2006 (EST) | :A) It is impossible to tell from this shot if the armor is there or not or whatever. ::In reality, it's unlikely that the zoic team had modeled any additional battlestar classes for the miniseries. Since the shot was so short, they probably used the Galactica-type model. That said, the image really is too blurry to tell for sure, and I prefer to leave the matter up to the imagination. --[[User: | ::In reality, it's unlikely that the zoic team had modeled any additional battlestar classes for the miniseries. :::Perhaps this pic would fit as a thumb in the right side of the overview of Galactica type battlestar? (Although it kind of makes the "last of her kind still in service" in that paragraph make less sense). --Steelviper 13:01, 10 February 2006 (EST) | :::Perhaps this pic would fit as a thumb in the right side of the overview of Galactica type battlestar? It is not "impossible to tell from this shot if the armor is there or not or whatever"...Photoshop can tell you alot about an image...as well as viewing the scene on DVD on a large HiDef Television. The Armour is indeed in place on this model in this sequence from the miniseries.--Stratohead | It is not "impossible to tell from this shot if the armor is there or not or whatever"...Photoshop can tell you alot about an image...as well as viewing the scene on DVD on a large HiDef Television.
