'''D Squadron''', also called the "[[Daggit]]s," are a [[Viper (1980)|Viper]] strike team that attacks [[Cylons (1980)|Cylon]] [[basestar (TOS)|baseships]] and other military targets in order to distract the Cylons from detecting Viper traffic to and from [[Earth (1980)|Earth]]. D Squadron also participates in the [[Battle for the Agricultural Ships]].

D Squadron, lead by Lieutenant [[Dante]], consists of Viper pilots with a "devil-may-care" attitude. Colonel [[Boomer (1980)|Boomer]] holds them in high regard, but an [[Maintenance Captain|unidentified captain]] reports an issue with D Squadron's pilots removing [[limiter]]s from the [[turbo charger]]s on their Viper craft {{G80|Space Croppers}}.

== Battle Suits and Helmets ==
Members of D Squadron are identifiable by their dark bronze helmets, and often wear different styles of outer wear than the typical battle suit jacket, from a black leather-esque jacket to an armor breastplate. Their commander, [[Dante]], wears an ascot in the style of the legendary Commander [[Cain (TOS)|Cain]].
