[[File:Cylon command chamber.jpg|thumb|[[Baltar (TOS)|Baltar]] is seated in the "captain's chair" in a variant of the command chamber {{OS|The Young Lords}}.]] The '''command chamber''' is a [[basestar (TOS)|basestar]]'s command and control center, or [[w:Bridge (ship)|bridge]]. 

Also referred to as the command center, it is the analogue to a [[battlestar (TOS)|battlestar]]'s [[Core Command]], of which two variants exist.

One variant contains two consoles manned by seated [[Centurion (TOS)|Centurion]]s and contains a throne chair, similar in design to the one in the Imperious Leader's [[throne room]]. Notably, a spotlight in front of the chair lights up to illuminate the subject's face upon being seated {{OS|The Young Lords}}. 

A second variant is ordered with consoles arrayed in a circle, its operators facing the the Command Centurion in the center of the circle, who itself has a control pedestal {{OS|The Hand of God}}. 

Both variants contain a single hallway, which is lined with computers ("[[The Young Lords]]," "[[The Hand of God (TOS)|The Hand of God]]").
