| : For starters, Special:Allpages doesn't alphabetize last names. It only goes by whatever the first letter is, as far as I am aware. Second, Special:Allpages also lists redirect articles; A to Z doesn't. A to Z is mainly for articles with content, thus excluding redirects, talk pages, "shortcut" pages, and other non-content pages. Also, A to Z gives a far more accurate count on how many actual pages there are, and A to Z is, in my view, more easier to go through than Special:Allpages, despite Special:Allpages' ability to search by namespace and title. -- Joe Beaudoin 14:39, 16 October 2005 (EDT)

| Notice how each page in this category gets broken down into the article count for that page? "There are 198 articles in this category.", "There are 195 articles in this category.", etc. Has anyone looked into a workaround for this, so that the total number appears on each page? --Sasoriza 20:41, 18 January 2007 (CST)
