I like the idea. I ''loathe'' MySpace personally as I am not a social animal and prefer my anonymity (I know, I know, next thing I'll say is ''"Get off my lawn you crazy kids!"''), but for the wiki, I think it is a great way to generate publicity. Our look and logo would transfer well there, the personal forum allows quick Q&A and we can moderate the weirdoes. ::My theme needs some work because I only did it roughly based off another theme that someone else had but I guess it could easily be made a bit better for more general use. The only other thing is that a lot of people, especially in the UK, have kinda gone off MySpace recently due to the spamming problems and malware advertisements and people seem to have migrated to Facebook. :::::::It's a bit of a chicken and egg problem, but maybe only at the beginning. If people who are already on BSWiki, link the site in their MySpace profile, then there might be a point where friends of theirs check out the BSWiki site and thus notice us for the first time. ::::::::MySpace has its uses, for all the stupid crap that goes along with it. It's not so much horrible (ok, maybe it is) as totally misused. It's put me back in contact with a lot of old friends, etc. It's definitely useful for advertising/networking. It would be yet another thing to maintain, of course. As far as people finding the MySpace page, I wouldn't worry about that. People ''will'' put "Battlestar" into the MySpace Search feature. ::Worse case scenario is that we find out that the MySpace thing doesn't work out for us and we kill it. Interestingly though, I should note that Matt and Nat from BSGCast contacted me through my personal MySpace page, so that can be an indication of the potential usefulness of a BSWiki presence on MySpace. I would agree, however, with a presence on Facebook as well. Facebook does seem to be a lot better with its API and overall usefulness, lack of spam, and other nastiness.
