The '''Battle of Molecay''' was a major engagement between {{TOS|Cylons|Cylon}} forces and the [[Fifth Fleet]] (including the {{TOS|Battlestar|battlestar}} ''{{TOS|Pegasus}}''), approximately two [[yahren]]s prior to ''Pegasus''<nowiki>'</nowiki>s miraculous re-discovery by ''{{TOS|Galactica}}'' and {{TOS|The Fleet|her civilian Fleet}} after the [[Battle of Cimtar|destruction of the Colonies]].

This fleet, under the command of Commander {{TOS|Cain|Cain}}, was apparently destroyed {{OS|The Living Legend, Part I}}. 

Cain and ''Pegasus'' survive the encounter, and later meet up with the rag-tag Fleet being led by ''Galactica'', where Cain works to incite [[Battle of Gamoray|an attack]] on Cylon forces at [[Gamoray]] {{OS|The Living Legend, Part I}}.
