'''Athena''' is the [[Lady]] of [[Caprica (1880)|Caprica]], daughter of [[Archduke]] [[Adama (1880)|Adama]], and sister to [[Crown Prince]] [[Apollo (1880)|Apollo]].

Alongside Professor [[Baltar (1880)|Baltar]] and Count [[Iblis (1880)|Iblis]], Athena is one of the creators of the [[babbage]] computer [[Lu-c-fer]], the coordinator of the [[Cylonics]]. This creation lead to the end of the [[Colonial Empire]]'s war with the [[Ovions (1880)|Ovions]].

Following the end of that war, she engages in a relationship with Lord [[Cain (1880)|Cain]] of the [[aethership]] ''[[Pegasus (1880)|Pegasus]]'', despite the disapproval of her father.

She visits ''Pegasus'' prior the Cylonics attack on [[Caprica (1880)|Caprica]], but leaves before the aethership is destroyed. She reports this death to Adama, who writes off not only Cain but also Apollo.

With information provided by [[Fleet Admiral]] [[Tigh (1880)|Tigh]], she and her page [[Boxey (1880)|Boxey]] leave in her [[bubbleship]] to the pirate-infested outer world of [[Rising Star (1880)|Rising Star]]. Their mission is to secure the assistance of former [[Flight-Lieutenant]] [[Starbuck (1880)|Starbuck]] to search and recover Apollo from Baltar's clutches. 

Before they depart in Starbuck's ''[[Starchaser (1880)|Starchaser]]'', their mission is interrupted by two sparring Queens of Rising Star, [[Cassiopeia (1880)|Cassiopeia]] and [[Sheba (1880)|Sheba]], who seek reparations for Starbuck's questionable actions (''[[Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 1]]'').

Athena later flees with ''Starchaser''<nowiki>'s</nowiki> crew, ending up on the remains of [[Carillion]] and captured by {{1880|Ovions}}. As a matriarchal society, Athena is pressed into service to speak on the captives' behalf, advocating for the Ovions to join their fight against Baltar and the Cylonics. In parlaying with Queen {{1880|Lotay}}, Athena offers herself to be tried for war crimes and is willing to submit to any punishment, up to and including her execution (''[[Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 2]]'' and ''[[Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 3|3]]'').

Following the successful attack against the Cylonics on {{1880|Gamoray}}, Athena becomes the leader of the Ovions following the death of Lotay and marries Major Starbuck (''[[Steampunk Battlestar Galactica 1880 4]]'').
