#REDIRECT Squadrons of Galactica
An Air Group is composed of all Viper squadrons and Raptors assigned to a battlestar. The Air Group is commanded by the battlestar's senior pilot who is known as the Commander, Air Group, generally referred to as "CAG".

The term Air Group is only used in the title of the CAG. In practise it is called Air Wing.

Notes
* The term Air Group is technically obsolete in the U.S. Air Force and Navy as Air Groups are now known as Air Wings. This is also reflected in Battlestar Galactica.
