Using these materials, ''Hephaestus'' becomes the Forge from whence the construction of two new {{TOS-RH|Viper}} classes and updated technologies<ref name="p81">{{Cite book/RH|1|81}}</ref>, including {{TOS-RH|laser pistol}}s that can only be used by their owners as of {{TOS-RH|7358}}<ref name="p117">{{Cite book/RH|1|113}}</ref>, came.
