Thanks. It is tedious work at this time of the year. Only worse is my first attempt a podcast. Just makes me feel ashamed not to have a quote for everyday. --FrankieG 22:04, 12 August 2006 (CDT)

no. don't have xbox. :-P --Shane (T - C - E) 21:53, 1 September 2006 (CDT)

Don't be...[edit]

Looks good! Thanks. When I first checked in, I was afraid that it'd been "censored", but quickly saw that it was just expanded. I made a couple superficial edits, but those are some pretty logical "riders". --Steelviper 09:14, 17 September 2006 (CDT)

12Midnight - Talked about BSG new Season Sunday midnight--Shane (T - C - E) 22:39, 1 October 2006 (CDT)

So i was watching TV tonight. And I saw soemthing about Epper and robert (Movie Cricis) talking about this weeks movies. And they mentioned something about BSG that this show should not be missed. Kinda cool. Did you (or anyone) else see it? --Shane (T - C - E) 00:36, 2 October 2006 (CDT)

Fanwanking[edit]

I just added a paragraph to Derived Content on the BW:CJ policy on fanwanking. It links to the Wikipedia article for now, but we'll change it to our policy once it's complete. --Spencerian 07:15, 4 October 2006 (CDT)

G, if you don't mind, I've moved your Fanwanking policy work into its own proposed policy article for general review and to prep it for final use, as well as call for a vote. Since it's a derivative of a Wikipedia policy, it shouldn't be a problem to ratify this. --Spencerian 08:34, 12 October 2006 (CDT)
Thanks, I haven't been well for the last week and let things slide a bit. Thanks, again. --FrankieG 08:58, 12 October 2006 (CDT)

Hearing Footsteps?[edit]

As soon as I finish up the transcript for "Home, Part II" I'm likely to start into transcribing "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II". I'll start on act four and work my way backwards to avoid conflicts. Just wanted to give you a heads up to avoid stepping on your toes and doing any duplicate work. Having listened briefly to the writer's room meetings, finishing up the episode podcast backlog seemed a great deal more appealing. --Steelviper 14:36, 31 October 2006 (CST)

Do you have anything on act 1 that you need to check in? I'll start on act 4 just in case, but if you've got nothing on it I'll clear you off the "transcribing" status on that act. --Steelviper 07:57, 17 November 2006 (CST)

Itunes Screencaps[edit]

Hey, I've been looking for a while for someone with the Itunes version of the episodes to post caps for the wiki, it's awesome that you've started doing it!

I had a few articles in mind which I thought would greatly benefit from an Itunes Quality screencap, mainly the Basestar and Hybrid articles. So if you can, I was wondering if you could upload Itunes Quality versions of these caps: [1][2][3][4] so that we can improve those those two articles. Thanks :) --Sauron18 16:06, 15 November 2006 (CST)

I actually think that the promotional images were better than the itunes caps. Much higher quality and a real teaser to the episodes without actually giving anything away. Perhaps its something to bring up on the Quorum or something? I much prefer the promo images. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 16:49, 15 November 2006 (CST)
Maybe for the episodes, but for articles like the ones I suggested, where we need in-episode screencaps of the new Baseships, their hangars, and the Hybrids, as well as the sick baseship, there are no promos, so I think Itunes Caps would be the best for those specific things that have no promo pic. --Sauron18 17:02, 15 November 2006 (CST)

Amazing Screencaps, Gougef! Fantastic clarity! Thanks :) --Sauron18 18:15, 16 November 2006 (CST)

It seems that the VFX shots are "sharper" than "live" shots. I discovered a wonderful free screencap utility called PrintKey. --FrankieG 19:07, 16 November 2006 (CST)

ArcadeRocksar[edit]

Spyware? Sounds suspcious... --Steelviper 09:24, 16 November 2006 (CST)

Pfft, like i said before, there is a way of purely showing text only links and not banner or flash ads. But either Joe needs to email AdBrite for instructions or i'll explain it to him or shane when i see them online. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 04:52, 17 November 2006 (CST)

Seeing BSG everywhere[edit]

I have been taking care of my one-year-old grand-daughter, and I have watch Madagascar dozens of times over the last few weeks. Every time I see the part of the penguins fighting off the foosa, and the leader says, "There's too many of them. It's a been a pleasure boys," I think of Adama in CIC during Exodus II. I have got to get out more ;). --FrankieG 16:47, 7 December 2006 (CST)

You think that's bad, in my church one of the people we've been praying for the last few months is named James Lyman. Everytime I hear that, I automatically think of Jammer. I need to get out more, lol. --Talos 17:18, 7 December 2006 (CST)
Rofl. Next time you go to church ask if they will all pray with you for another character hehe. --Mercifull (Talk/Contribs) 03:19, 8 December 2006 (CST)
I keep wanting to add "Kara Thrace," or "William Adama," to it. ;) --Talos 06:18, 8 December 2006 (CST)
Even if I watch another show, I get a BSG hit. "Heroes" did that to me recently with the kid in a BSG t-shirt. That was intentional homage (or shameless promotion). --Spencerian 06:49, 8 December 2006 (CST)

Don't recall that happening?[edit]

You noted you did a rollback because you didn't recall "that happening"

What don't you recall? You don't recall Tyroll suddenly seeking out his temple? You don't recall him refusing to destroy it when he is ordered to by his commander? You don't recall D'Anna seeing his face inside the temple? Well, that is not shown of course, it is only later that we learn that his face was one of those shown, which is why it is something I was adding later.

Do you recall the things now? Right now the page is written from an old perspective, where we don't know why the Temple was so special for him, but now we know more. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Bradtem (talk • contribs).

Gougef, I took a look at Brad's original text. It took a moment for me to understand what he was implying (that perhaps the reason that Tyrol could sense the temple was because he was a part of its imagery in its mechanisms. Brad, if you would, I'd recommend that the text be readded, but to clarify it as you did here, albeit not as verbose. It's a relevant observation, provided it's not already elsewhere in the article. --Spencerian 00:14, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
The "disobeying direct orders" was what I thought was a stretch. Also, if this is revealed later, it should be referenced. -- FrankieG 01:57, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
No stretch at all. They have wired the temple with bombs. Tyroll has the plunger. Lee orders him to blow it up. He sits there, and he refuses. Finally Lee has to come and push the plunger and by that point they have disconnected the bombs. This is of course hugely important for many reasons. Tyrol, though we don't know it is one of the five whose faces are about to be shown in the temple, and we have to suspect he has compulsions to make sure this happens -- so much else has been done to make sure it happens. So though a soldier, he disobeys direct orders to carry out the mission the Admiral set for them. The page as it reads now makes it seem like he has just developed an extra spiritual sense. That's clearly wrong, and many suspect he built the temple. Whether he built it is speculation, but his face is about to be shown inside it, as part of a complex plan.--bradtem 04:50, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
...and, if not speculation, placed in spoiler text format. Thanks, Frank. --Spencerian 02:26, 13 January 2009 (UTC)
