"The cause is just" is a rallying cry, reaffirming both the beliefs and the desire for justice by the Comitat.

The phrase is used not only by Thanes when opening communications between other Comitat members (Battlestar Galactica Classic #1), but also as a final concluding response in speeches (Battlestar Galactica Classic #4).
