I find it hard to believe that Gaeta's quote, 10 ships out of 35 is in reference to the entire fleet. That means half the fleets ships are gone, which doesn't jive with the number of people still alive OR onscreen destructions. If I'm not mistaken we've seen less than 10 ships destroyed on screen (Pixis, the Rising Star and 2-3 others, I think there were 3 lost in The Passage).

Since Gaeta doesn't difinitively say anything that would indicate that 35 ships is nothing more than a statistic of some kind, and not necessarily the entire fleet, I'm going to remove that note from the Analysis section unless someone objects.[[User:RUSnooky|RUSnooky]] 04:05, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Episode Title Confirmation[edit]

Please submit the source of this episode title's name in the article. --Spencerian 22:36, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

The source is (kinda) noted in the article: [1] -- Serenity 23:02, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

What was that device Roslin and Leoben were using to communicate with the rest of the Fleet?[edit]

Best guess its a part from the Commsystem of Starbucks Viper that was capable of receiving the homing signal from earth, that noone else could receive. We saw Starbuck and Leoben track down the signal on earth so they probably removed it from the Viper and had it with them. Given Starbucks reaction to finding her body and everyone else being told nothing had been found, it imaginable that Leoben simply kept it, as noone else was bothering about it. Nevfennas 23:02, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

I tend to think otherwise, because
  • that equipment from the super-clean Viper would be a receiver, not a transmitter,
  • Tyrol and Anders comment that something is different about the super-clean Viper, and that could possibly include the special receiver that was not in the wreckage of Kara's Viper from "Maelstrom", and
  • the Cylons probably have much more advanced countermeasures; after all, they forced the Colonials to abandon networks, esp the wireless variety, didn't they?

FTL room damage[edit]

Am I the only one who thinks the damage Tyrol finds looks like giant scratch marks? nuxi

That was my initial reaction as well. Raptors! I guess we'll find out soon... --Steelviper 03:25, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
Isn't that the same damage Adama found in his quartes in the clip shown in that YouWillKnowTheTruth site??? It looks the same!! tanketai 15:22, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
I agree. I'm leaning towards cumulative metal fatigue ... the old gal's been through a lot a pit stop, after all.-- Fredmdbud 02:55, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

Some symbolism[edit]

The symbolism of Colonial One landing on Galactica is an indication of the authocratic leadership that is taking place. A merging of politics and military is akin to the German's "Night of the Long Knives" in 1934. On that night (two days actually) Hitler began the consolidation of his power with the military by assassinating both political and paramilitary threats. -- Hufnmouth 15:23, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Is someone going to finish adding the rest of the summary?[edit]

The summary is running rather late. Is someone going to finish it? I certainly don't want to be the one who has to do that (doing the Teaser was long enough). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by GreenDalek (talk • contribs).

I think Spencerian often does it, but it's not really assigned to any particular person (that I'm aware of). If it drives you too crazy, feel free to continue your "boldness", otherwise, I'm sure somebody will step up to the plate... eventually. --Steelviper 20:12, 9 February 2009 (UTC)
I think I may just cut and pace stuff from patriot resources if no one's going to do this. -- GreenDalek 23:41, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Please, do not merely copy and paste from other websites. Please write it on your own. Thank you! -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 23:55, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
I've just created a new account (for the purposes of editing), but I've been a longtime reader of this wiki, so I'd love to take a crack at it if no one has any objections. --LawNinja 2:14, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Make it so. :) -- Joe Beaudoin So say we all - Donate - Battlestar Pegasus 02:31, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Looks great so far. Glad to have another inmate to run the asylum. (It really is a free for all here, and just about everything is fair game to those who care to seize the edits.) --Steelviper 03:25, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Thank you. Everything's good now! -- GreenDalek 17:23, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
Great job! Sorry, I did often jump in to doing these, but I was ill all this weekend--and I didn't want to "bogart" the episode guides and let someone else take a stab. --Spencerian 01:59, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

35 Ships[edit]

I find it hard to believe that Gaeta's quote, 10 ships out of 35 is in reference to the entire fleet. If I'm not mistaken we've seen less than 10 ships destroyed on screen (Pixis, the Rising Star and 2-3 others, I think there were 3 lost in The Passage).

Since Gaeta doesn't definitively say anything that would indicate that 35 ships is nothing more than a statistic of some kind, and not necessarily the entire fleet, I'm going to remove that note from the Analysis section unless someone objects.RUSnooky 04:05, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
