Sesha Abinell is a terrorist who, with the help of fellow conspiritors, holds patrons hostage in a lounge aboard the Cloud 9. Abinell had been widowed approximately 10 weeks earlier as a result of a Cylon attack attack on a civilian ship and in the intervening time composes a manifesto consisting mainly of conspiracy theories regarding Cylon infiltration of the Colonial Military, leading to the destruction of the Colonies. The manifesto is released to Colonial press within the Fleet after she and three men take control of the Cloud 9's lounge. Convinced that the Cylons are still manipulating the Colonial Military, she demands that Admiral William Adama hand over the copy of Sharon Valerii being held aboard Galactica. Abinell then threatens to start killing hostages if Adama does not comply.

To diffuse the situation, Adama promises to give Abinell Valerii's corpse in exchange for the safety of the hostages, terms which Abinell reluctantly agrees to. The corpse Adama provides, though, is of the Sharon Cally had assassinated months prior. When this deception comes to light, Abinell and her gunmen open fire, fatally wounding Billy Keikeya before being slain by Colonial Marines (Sacrifice).
