Salik is the senior life-sciences officer on Galactica.

Following the Battle of Cimtar, he becomes responsible for Fleet-wide health concerns alongside his staff, including Cassiopeia.

Dynamite Entertainment[edit]

After Starbuck and Apollo bring Xam to Dr. Salik, Salik discovers that the surge in the launch bay activated Xam's psionic abilities, which have grown due to the energy of the storm zone the Fleet enters to avoid the Cylons. Salik is also present when Xam uses his newly discovered skills to project an overwhelming force of Colonial battlestars, thus allowing the Fleet to escape unimpeded (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #9).

After entering a manufactured universe of Iblis' design, an injured Adama is remanded to Salik's care and is puzzled at Adama's high brain activity while being summarily unconscious (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #1). He is further dubious at Apollo's claims of being able to assist his father via the use of mental powers, despite its later success in allowing Adama to recover (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 3 #4).
