Sagittarius Is Bleeding: Battlestar Galactica 3 by Peter David (published by Tor Books), is a new original novel based the Battlestar Galactica Re-imagined Series.
Peter David, the author of numerous well-regarded Star Trek and Babylon 5 tie-in novels, including "Imzadi", "Q Squared", and the "Legions of Fire" trilogy, has announced in his weblog, that he will be writing a "Battlestar Galactica" novel.
On December 13, 2005, he commented that he was working under a tight deadline, but that he "should be able to make it".
On February 25, 2006, he posted an update noting that he was revising the ending, as it overlapped with similar plot points from the second season. The manuscript was completed on March 8, 2006.
