Raptor 718 was flown by Richard "Buster" Bayer during a Raptor Training Exercise.

During the exercise, it responded to a false distress signal with Raptor 314. Not long after, the crews of both Raptors were killed.

The Raptors could not be salvaged due to the appearance of three Cylon Base Ships and the ensuing battle. (The Captain's Hand)
