Galen Tyrol is a Cylon that was first encountered on board Galactica, but revealed roughly 4 years later. He still serves as chief petty officer on Galactica. Since the start of the series, he has lead rebellions against the Cylon race, fathered a Hybrid-Cylon son, and even at one point was in love with another Cylon model. This model can be seen as religious, despite his lack of religious devotion and not following any known religious rites and practices, though he seeks the guidance from another Cylon in the form of comfort, after initially believing himself to be a Cylon (Lay Down Your Burdens, Part I). Although his hated for the Cylon race is very present, many unanswered questions (Crossroads, Part II) arise from him being pegged as a Cylon.
