Paradeen was the destination of humans Michael, his wife Sarah, and their four children, who were traveling in a primitive spaceship in a state of suspended animation in the 2-hour episode [[Greetings from Earth]]. The ''Galactica'' intercepted their ship, and word of their discovery spread throughout the fleet with rumors that these people were from Earth.
 
To avoid a riot, [[Apollo]], [[Starbuck]], and [[Cassiopeia]] escort the ship to its original destination of Paradeen. Michael later awakens to tell the group that they do not come from [[Earth]], but from a planet named [[Terra]], which is besieged in a civil war.
 
Paradeen's population was destroyed by [[neutron bomb]]s previously by one of the warring factions, the [[Eastern Alliance]]. The Colonials were greeted by two androids that survived, named [[Hector]] and [[Vector]].
