Romo Lampkin's cat is a domesticated male animal and traveling companion of Romo Lampkin, as well as one of the last items Lampkin has of his wife, who was the original owner of the cat.
Despite his alleged hatred of the cat, Lampkin typically carries the cat around with him in a backpack, telling Laura Roslin that he did not "bite or scratch" like his wife did. He may of used the diversion created by his animal to steal Roslin's glasses.
Later, when boarding Sharon Agathon's Raptor, the cat escapes from his bag, jumping out of the Raptor before it could be moved. Chief Galen Tyrol and his deck gang manage to corral the cat, but not before Tyrol discovers the makeshift bomb on the Raptor's undercarriage, thus thwarting Aaron Kelly's plan to kill Lampkin (The Son Also Rises).
