A hover-mobile is likely a form of personal transportation on the Twelve Colonies.

Boomer admits to Athena that, in his youth, he "hot-linked more hover-mobiles" than there were doors on Galactica, suggesting that he was once a rogue on the streets of Caprica (TOS: "Fire in Space").
