Graystones

The Graystones, according to their basic description in the official statement on the Re-imagined Series spin-off drama, Caprica, are a family that run a large corporation that develop the Cylons, robots that would be used for the hard labor and hazardous work deemed unworthy of the people of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol, at the eve of an unexpected revolt. The series will be set some 50 years prior to the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

• Daughter Zoe Graystone

Background

Before dying in a terrorist attack due to her boyfriend's religious fanaticism, Zoe Graystone downloads a rudimentary version of her personality into a computer, creating a digital twin of herself called Zoe-A. After her death, her grieving father uses these elements and stolen technology to create a robotic version of his daughter, known as Zoe-R; the first step towards the creation of the Cylons.

Galactica 1980 definition:  Dillon is called both a terrorist and a chauvinist by Jamie Hamilton during their phone call from the police station; he asks Troy "what's a terrorist chauvinist?" (1980: "Galactica Discovers Earth, Part I")
