Dwyer serves aboard Galactica after the Battle of Cimtar.

Following the return of Maytorian refugees, Galactica finds itself invaded by a hidden force of Centurions unwittingly brought aboard in a stolen Cylon personnel carrier. In attendance of a feast in celebration of Boomer and Starbuck's return with these refugees, Dwyer is tasked with escorting the civilians and children to the safety of a supply vault by Apollo. Dwyer leads them onward, but is slain by a Centurion; Athena retrieves Dwyer's laser pistol and assumes his role in shepherding the civilians to safety (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 1 #5).
