Cyrannus (Deadlock)

Cyrannus is the quaternary star group where the Twelve Colonies of Kobol are situated (Battlestar Galactica Deadlock).

The star group consists of four distinct stars (each one being called, and prefixed by, "Helios"): Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Delta.

Helios Alpha

Starlanes

Intersected between the various Helioses are planetoids in stable locations, which are FTL points and are considered the Starlanes of Cyrannus. None are deemed habitable by the Colonies as of approximately 52 BCH.

These planetoids are determined to be the least contested landmarks for jumps between Helioses, and become more critical supply lines for Colonial Fleet given the dismantling of the IDRIS network.

  Cocalus is one jump between Alpha and Gamma.

  Delium is one jump between Alpha and Beta.

• 

  Gortyn is one jump between Delta and Gamma, and two jumps between either Beta and Gamma or Beta and Delta.

  Helicon is one jump between Gamma and Alpha.

• 

  Knossos is one jump between Alpha and Beta, and two jumps between either Alpha and Delta or Alpha and Gamma.

• 

  Naucratis is one jump between Delta and Gamma, or two jumps between either Delta and Ragnar or Gamma and Ragnar.

Other Astral Bodies

Outside of the typical Starlanes are these planets of note:

• Ragnar, located on the outer periphery between Delta and Gamma.
• Marathon, a rogue planetoid that, as of the Battle of Marathon, was located on the outer periphery between Alpha and Beta.
