:My feeling is that we should deprecate KEW out as we have "humano-Cylon", where we have redirects but don't use it actively. ::A battery is a collection of guns acting as one. It's not correct to refer to all ship-based projectile weapons as batteries. Namely the Viper cannons. If we got rid of it, we could distinguish there and say "gun batteries" for battlestars and "cannons" or even "autocannons" for fighters. But I really have nothing against the term per se. It was just easier to have one weapon article for everything (including missiles). The term "KEW" is still extensively used in the ship templates to list armaments, and I think it's convenient catch-all phrase there. --[[User:Serenity|Serenity]] 11:55, 22 May 2007 (CDT)

How are we gonna include Kinetic Energy Weapon in this cat? Currently, it's not even a page, just a redirect to Weapons in the Re-imagined Series. Do we make a stub page at Kinetic Energy Weapon with {{mainarticle|Weapons in the Re-imagined Series}}? Do we include Weapons in this cat and accept the uglyness? Or do we not include it at all? --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 09:18, 22 May 2007 (CDT)

My feeling is that we should deprecate KEW out as we have "humano-Cylon", where we have redirects but don't use it actively. We got rid of KEW since it was too fanciful for a descriptive term where a simple "weapons" or battery would suffice. --Spencerian 11:26, 22 May 2007 (CDT)
A battery is a collection of guns acting as one. --Serenity 11:55, 22 May 2007 (CDT)
