:It sounds like he's proposing both (Shane has long been an advocate of starting to host some of the Scifi content). I'd support the transcribing the Q&A's, blogs, etc. as there appears to be a healthy amount of information in those. I don't think I'd get to it myself personally, as the podcasts are currently consuming most of my wiki-cycles. However I would oppose hosting the content itself. As long as Scifi is willing to host it we should let them carry that burden. If they stop (and people have them backed up), we might then discuss hosting them for posterity, but in the meantime let them carry the load. They might not take kindly to us swiping their content (and potentially advertising revenue, etc.) --[[User:Steelviper|Steelviper]] 07:26, 16 February 2007 (CST)

::I concur that hosting video content would really overtax us, but I also believe it will not be a fair-use situation and become a copyright problem. Transcription of these items would be a nice season hiatus project, I think, with screen caps if possible. --[[User:Spencerian|Spencerian]] 07:32, 16 February 2007 (CST)

What exactly do you want to do here? Do you want to transcribe Q&A's, or just store them on the BSWiki server? --Catrope 07:00, 16 February 2007 (CST)

I concur that hosting video content would really overtax us, but I also believe it will not be a fair-use situation and become a copyright problem. Transcription of these items would be a nice season hiatus project, I think, with screen caps if possible. --Spencerian 07:32, 16 February 2007 (CST)
