How are you doing on this, Shane? Do you want me to do the writeup instead? --April Arcus 19:59, 19 May 2006 (CDT)

Sure. I was just going to put down from what we learned when doing it. --Shane (T - C - E) 00:58, 20 May 2006 (CDT)
Is this still going to go-ahead? --Mercifull 04:33, 25 May 2006 (CDT)
Yeah. Trying to find the time. --Shane (T - C - E) 09:22, 25 May 2006 (CDT)

Comments and usage

I just wrote this guide, comments, suggestions and improvements are welcome.

I also noticed that very few users use this procedure: some of us use an oldid-based approach that doesn't allow for the neat indexing this method provides, whereas others don't archive discussions at all. --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 10:26, 6 June 2007 (CDT)

I'm just lazy. I meant to archive when I hit 40 topics, but then my usage slowed down. I use the kosher method on regular talk pages. --April Arcus 10:48, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
It looks like a nice guide, Catrope. I might be enticed to try it. --Spencerian 11:14, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
Thanks. I decided archiving my talk page earlier today, and learned how to set it up by reading the source of BW:OC and its archives. It's actually pretty easy if you have something to copy-paste from, which this guide provides. BTW, I'm not blaming you (Spence and April) for not using this method, the fact that Shane was the only one to use it says a lot. ;) --Catrope(Talk to me or e-mail me) 11:38, 6 June 2007 (CDT)
