Atlantia

New Series

The name of a battlestar, featuring integrated command and control systems, and featuring Dr. Gaius Baltar's Comand Navigation Programme (CNP). She is selected by Admiral Nogala as his flagship during the Cylon Attack after Fleet Headquarters on Picon is destroyed. The Atlantia herself is destroyed during the Cylon Attack, a victim of the computer virus spread by the Cylons using the compromised CNP (Mini-Series).

Notes

1. According to information released by Zoic, the Atlantia was one of the first five battlestars constructed by the Colonials, the other four being Galactica, Pegasus, Columbia and Rycon.
2. During the opening of the Mini-Series, Arron Doral states that the Battlestar Galactica is the "last of her kind". This would suggest that:
   1. Either the Atlantia mentioned later in the mini-series may have been built much later than the original twelve battlestars, possibly as a replacement vessel
   2. Doral was simply making a point that the Galactica is the only remaining battlestar with non-integrated systems

The Original Series

The Atlantia was the flagship of the Colonial fleet, where the Quorum of Twelve meet in anticipation of the coming treaty between humanity and the Cylons that will bring to an end the thousand yahren war.

The Atlantia is destroyed when the treaty rendezvous at Cimtar proves to be a trap, along with four of remaining battlestars of the fleet, with only the Galactica surviving (Saga of a Star World).
