Athena is the only daughter of Adama and Ila, residing on Caprica during the Battle of Cimtar.

As Starbuck did not encounter either Adama or his family in the alternate reality, Thom is able to cultivate a relationship with Athena during their mutual childhood, resulting in marriage later in life.

According to Adama, Athena is killed on Caprica alongside her husband, and all he has to remember them by are both memories and images stored in a holocube (Classic Battlestar Galactica Vol. 2 #3).
