Amphead is a V-world gamer of New Cap City.

Discovering that this player has squatted in a recreation of Joseph Adama's apartment, Adama and Emmanuelle barge into the apartment in search of Tamara Adama's avatar.

Adama questions Amphead about Tamara's location, preventing him from removing his holoband, and learns that she may be at Mysteries. Before learning more, the duo are accosted by Shotgun and his two associates, who are seeking revenge against Tamara for killing two of their cohorts.

Amphead flees after Emanuelle dispatches the Shotgun trio (CAP: "Ghosts in the Machine").
