Alert fighters

Alert Fighters refer to the group of fighters "standing by" on deck for the purpose of being available for immediate scramble to support the Combat Air Patrol with the intercept any incoming craft. These fighters are general on-station within the launch tubes, with their pilots waiting in the cockpits.
