Soon after, the ''Galactica'' was boarded by [[Cylon Centurion]]s, and [[Lee Adama]] ordered Venner to lead Roslin to [[Sickbay]] and to safety. While making their way through the ship, they were nearly killed in a run in with the Centurions ([[Valley of Darkness]]).

While in the brig, Roslin was suffering from [[Chamalla]] withdrawal. Her aide, [[Billy Keikeya]], asked for Venner's help in smuggling some of the medication for her into the brig ([[Fragged]]).

Venner is apparently recruited by Keikeya in the plot to free Roslin ([[Resistance]]). He participates in Roslin's escape from ''Galactica'' by pretending to be the victim of an assault that frees Roslin from the brig.

I know, it sounds a little over eager. I took several zoom in snap shots of the 12 banners both in the mini-series and also in Colonial Day. These are definitely the icons and the colors. Icon was a name used and so far the planet relative to Libra has not been mentioned. This is the only colony I find debatable. Certain colonies may not go with certain standards such as Aquarius or Leonis. I made this with flash in between my summer graduate classes. I've been having fun building a flash battlestar galactica encyclopedia, but was glad to see you already had this even though my flash stuff was nearly finished. If you pay attention to the flags behind, they are all at random placements and that they are placed differently than that of the miniseries' memorial at the end. I played with the idea that the memorial's flags were in order of when they were nuked while the flags on Cloud Nine were placed in order of their signing the Articles of Colonization. It's purely guess though. Note that in Colonial Day, the Sagittaron flag is at the farthest right while Tom Zarek is somwhere in the middle. This clearly shows to me there is no relation between the flags' placements and the delegates sitting.

Additionally, Scorpion looks like the symbol might have a tail with a stinger... Tauron's symbol '''could''' be a bull. A few scenes Later, Roslin is caught addressing the passengers of Colonial Heavy 978 in mid-sentence:

"...including the colonies of Caprica, Picon, Aerelon and Tauron."

I saw in the mini-series they mentioned a colony called "ICON" alongside of "PICON" so I'm a little weirded out. As for Leonis, that flag has been found. I did a picture search in google for the zodiac's constellation and found the flag's symbol looked exactly like what I have designated. I can't remember, but I believe the constellation for Libra looked quite similar to the black one. Since we don't yet know as of yet what is the name for the Libra colony, I have left it blank. As for images, Caprica is the only planet we've seen thus far and probably the only one we're likely to see (unless we get Scorpion in a flashback in Pegasus or something). One thing we can do, if it becomes necessary, is link to full-length articles from just underneath the first-level headings.

A close viewing of [[Colonial Day]] indicates that the flag currently labeled as [[The Twelve Colonies#Tauron|Tauron]] belongs to Safiya Sanne's seat - either Picon or Leonis; and that the black flag belongs to Robin Wenutu's seat (Canceron), and that VIrgon's flag is a white field with a green inner stripe and yellow outer stripe. I'm curious as to how QuintusCinna came to his conclusion that the delegates aren't seated at their apprporiate flags, since I don't know any other evidence linking particular flags to colonies. Don't trust the banners lining up with those they represent in [[Colonial Day]]. The reason I say this is that [[Tom Zarek]] is in one area of the room and his very obvious banner for Sagitarron is completely in another area. This is the same for Virgon's banner and their representative. There are 3 different questions I carry thanks to the shows I have watched. In the mini-series we see the banners are in this order from left to right: [[Virgon]], [[Picon]], [[Caprica]], [[Aerelon]], [[Gemenon]], Scorpion, Aquaria(?), [[Tauron]], Libra (?), [[Sagittaron]], [[Canceron]] (?), [[Leonis]]. Is this in the order that the colonies signed the unification treaty or is the order for the flags random or is it in the order they were nuked? Though I am sure the producers, directors, and such just put them up in random order, it is now a sense of fact for the show. If we were to believe they were placed up there, the banners must be up there in some order that is according to military protocol for flag bearing. In Colonial Day I add 2 more questions. We see that the banners are behind the delegates in a different order than in the mini-series. This means they were either a) put up randomly or b) have a separate purpose than those shown at the end of the mini-series (nuked, treaty order, or other). Then we see that the delegates are put in a different order than the banners behind them. The Gemenon delegate is clearly seen toward the middle and the Gemenon flag is clearly in a different area. The same questions come up for the delegates: are they randomly placed or is there reason. It's not alphabetical, and placements of delegates and banners in every society is always in some sort of traditional order. I hope that the Battlestar Galactica producers, writers, and such will be able to answer this though I suspect they won't because they have REAL lives.

As for the Picon flag, the constellation looks quite similar to the picon banner and the same goes for Tauron's with Taurus. I have no doubt with those. The Libra's icon can be seen in this picture http://www.gaitedhorses.net/Articles/HorseAstrology/AstrologySymbol.gif 2 clockwise from Sagittarius.

==Residence vs. Tribe==

I think there's a difference between "where a character currently makes their residence" and "what colony they are from". I think "what colony they are from" means "what ''tribe''" they are. For example, Dualla could have been away from Sagittaron for years and lived on another Colony, but she's still from the Sagittaron tribe. In "Bastille Day", she describes herself as "a Sagittaron", not "someone ''from'' Sagittaron".

Anyway, I also think that non-canonical information from SkyOne website should not be used in assuming Stabuck may be from Picon, not Caprica. We should wait until this is said on either the Scifi.com official site, or on screen.

I saw in the mini-series they mentioned a colony called "ICON" alongside of "PICON" so I'm a little weirded out. As for Leonis, that flag has been found. I did a picture search in google for the zodiac's constellation and found the flag's symbol looked exactly like what I have designated. I can't remember, but I believe the constellation for Libra looked quite similar to the black one. Since we don't yet know as of yet what is the name for the Libra colony, I have left it blank. ==Which flag is which?==
A close viewing of [[Colonial Day]] indicates that the flag currently labeled as [[The Twelve Colonies#Tauron|Tauron]] belongs to Safiya Sanne's seat - either Picon or Leonis; and that the black flag belongs to Robin Wenutu's seat (Canceron), and that VIrgon's flag is a white field with a green inner stripe and yellow outer stripe. I'm curious as to how QuintusCinna came to his conclusion that the delegates aren't seated at their apprporiate flags, since I don't know any other evidence linking particular flags to colonies. Don't trust the banners lining up with those they represent in [[Colonial Day]]. The reason I say this is that [[Tom Zarek]] is in one area of the room and his very obvious banner for Sagitarron is completely in another area. This is the same for Virgon's banner and their representative. There are 3 different questions I carry thanks to the shows I have watched. In the mini-series we see the banners are in this order from left to right: [[Virgon]], [[Picon]], [[Caprica]], [[Aerelon]], [[Gemenon]], Scorpion, Aquaria(?), [[Tauron]], Libra (?), [[Sagittaron]], [[Canceron]] (?), [[Leonis]]. Is this in the order that the colonies signed the unification treaty or is the order for the flags random or is it in the order they were nuked? Though I am sure the producers, directors, and such just put them up in random order, it is now a sense of fact for the show. If we were to believe they were placed up there, the banners must be up there in some order that is according to military protocol for flag bearing. In Colonial Day I add 2 more questions. We see that the banners are behind the delegates in a different order than in the mini-series. This means they were either a) put up randomly or b) have a separate purpose than those shown at the end of the mini-series (nuked, treaty order, or other). Then we see that the delegates are put in a different order than the banners behind them. The Gemenon delegate is clearly seen toward the middle and the Gemenon flag is clearly in a different area. The same questions come up for the delegates: are they randomly placed or is there reason. It's not alphabetical, and placements of delegates and banners in every society is always in some sort of traditional order. I hope that the Battlestar Galactica producers, writers, and such will be able to answer this though I suspect they won't because they have REAL lives.

I think there's a difference between "where a character currently makes their residence" and "what colony they are from". I think "what colony they are from" means "what ''tribe''" they are. For example, Dualla could have been away from Sagittaron for years and lived on another Colony, but she's still from the Sagittaron tribe. In "Bastille Day", she describes herself as "a Sagittaron", not "someone ''from'' Sagittaron".

Anyway, I also think that non-canonical information from SkyOne website should not be used in assuming Stabuck may be from Picon, not Caprica. We should wait until this is said on either the Scifi.com official site, or on screen.

:I apologize for my lack of background for my articles. I must confess to being much more concerned with the re-imagined BSG and so therefore have been using it as a reference point for my articles. TOS and the re-imagined series have been so different that you almost can't connect the two because of the many differences. Everyone will agree that the characters are completely different, as has the background info. The Golden Age I refer to takes place before the Cylon War. The article I used for this was found on this site, [[History of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol]]. I realize this is not canon, but it seems close enough to be considered factual. Besides, the two series are so different one could not find a 100% bulletproof article anyways, unless it referred to a tiny specific (and probably therefore uninteresting) piece of information anyways. The one sentence online you refer to about Cyone, I assume is on the same website I found it, http://www.pantheon.org/. This is a reliable website that is valid to cite in reference to Greek mythology; the information on it is reliable and in depth enough to be quoted. Please let me know if you have any questions, as I realize all of your previous ones were completely valid.

The main point of contention I had is that sometimes on messageboards you see people that say that "there are 12 Cylons, so counting centurions there must be 11 "human-looking" Cylons. However, I think there are 12 models of humanoid Cylon, as well as the Centurion model. I don't know if Raiders, etc. count as a "model" or not, unless they say that in a later episode. I thought it ambiguous as to how "organic" they are; i.e. their internal muscles, ligaments, nerves were more obviously synthetic; they looked like artificial skin and muscle like you'd use on burn victims. I mean, they looked more obviously silicon-based on not vat-grown; the line were "organic" and "machine" blurs (if we consider animals to be just a complex bio-chemical machine). :::: Something to take note. When Boomer recently told Gaius Baltar that there were 8 more cylons within the fleet, that added up to the 12 stated long ago by Number 6. The fleet has seen Boomer, Number 6 (as Godfrey), Darol, and Leoben Conoy. They hadn't seen the 8 other models (who logically would only have 1 of each in the fleet). We've discussed D'anna Biers and we know about Simon both will show up. In the recent show, Baltar was talking to Six about other cylons aboard- that they could be anywhere. My tv was a bit dark but I swear I saw Simon pass by in military khakis when he said that. As for Ellen Tigh, look at the show where Baltar says "She's green!" when he checks her out in the test. Prior to the attack, Six played an important role in preparing the way for a Cylon victory. Seducing the ambitious, self-obssessed, arrogant and untimately flawed Gaius Baltar, she fooled him into believing she was a corporate spy, seeking to gain advantage over her competitors in order to gain an lucrative defence contract ([[Mini-Series]]). Over the course of two years, she used Baltar to gain access to his work -- even to the extent of re-writing many of his own algorithms -- in order to subvert his own [[Command Navigation Program]] so that it could be used in the forthcoming Cylon attack to cripple Colonial forces.

In addition to this work, she performed a second role -- one which is potentially as important to the Cylons, but one in which she may not be fully capable of performing: trying to make Gaius Baltar fall in love with her and, possibly, have a child by her. This is a role that she admits to him is not an official part of her assignment, but it is in keeping with the apparent aims and goals of the Cylons - for whom "love", expressed through the concept of their [[God]], is a motivating factor behind some of their later actions.

The fact that she is unable to become pregnant in her time with Baltar - given that his is the type of man vain enough to forego any male form of contraception and expect the female to take the required precautions - is suggestive that the humano-Cylons are physically, as well as mentally, configured for specific roles. Six is designed as a seducer - a trend that repeatedly surfaces throughout her various incarnations - not a child-bearer. However, she may be capable of childbearing but has chosen not to until the time was right.

With the opening of the Cylon attack, Baltar's Six is apparently destroyed protecting him from the effects of a nuclear blast shockwave on [[Caprica]]. Fleeing the city and then the planet itself, Baltar is shocked to discover that Six lives on - inside his head.

At first he tries to dismiss her presence as a manifestation of his own guilt over what has happened to his people, and his role in it. However, Six suggests that she is in fact the result of a chip inside his head. However, while some of her "actions" - such as terrifying Baltar into determining how he can construct a genuine [[Cylon detector]] ([[Bastille Day]]) - very much suggest she is a part of his own psyche. But this is countered by her underlying actions and "deeds" - all of which represent a furtherance of those aims and goals she expressed as a corporeal entity, giving added weight to the idea that she is most likely a personality download contained within a chip in Baltar's head. Some of these are characteristics never witnessed by Baltar himself - such as her jealous reaction to [[Valerii]]'s visit with Baltar in his lab ([[Flesh and Bone]]), which closely mirrors the jealousy she shows towards Valerii on Caprica ([[Litmus]], [[Secrets and Lies]]).

Certainly, this seems to be the view Baltar himself comes to hold, as he relies more and more on her for guidance and insight into Cylons ways - so much so that she deliberately suggests that her presence within him is something for which other Cylons have no knowledge. However, in her relentless drive to get Baltar to fully accept the Cylon concept of God, it would appear that not only are other Cylons in the fleet aware of her "existence", they are in communication with her: hence the arrival of "Shelly Godfrey" onboard the ''[[Galactica]]'' with her accusations of treachery at the precise time Six ceases to communicate with Baltar.

=== Caprican Overseer ===
On Caprica, Six performs the role of a Cylon overseer, working with [[Aaron Doral]] to ensure their experiment involving the stranded [[Karl C. Agathon]] and Valerii either reaches its desired conclusion, or is suitably terminated ([[Litmus]], [[Secrets and Lies]]).

In this, she shares the same seductive characteristic as shown by her "sisters" at Armistice station and with Baltar - her first act on "freeing" the captured Agathon is to kiss him. Following the destruction of this particular Six (shot by Valerii, in order to enable her to "rescue" Agathon), her "sister" on Caprica demonstrates a certain vindictiveness towards Valerii when she gives her a beating that goes far beyond the needs of the experiment ([[Litmus]]), thus revealing she may well be experiencing resentment for being shot (remembering that experiences and knowledge are passed from body to body among the various types of humano-Cylon), as well as jealousy at Valerii's chosen role in proceedings.

A further "overseer" Six is present at the Cylon's established base at [[Delphi]], and is briefly seen by [[Agathon, Karl C.|Helo]] when he attempts to gain access to the base in order to steal a ship and get off the planet ([[Colonial Day]]).

Another "overseer" Six was present at the "farm" where Starbuck was taken after she was incapacitated by the Cylons. While the Cylon doctor [[Simon]] operated on her Six was there to relay orders and see that everything was proceeding smoothly. She was definitely the controlling figure of the operation ([[The Farm]]).

===Caprican Warrior Leaders===
At least 3 additional variants of Six have been operational on Caprica, and appear to lead troops of Cylon [[Warriors]] and have a subservient role to the "overseer" Six variants. This variant of Six is distinguished by the white raincoat it wears.

His only problem is that [[Number Six]], his former "lover" - herself destroyed in the shockwave of a nuclear blast - now appears to him in visions, and he cannot be sure whether this is a result of his own guilt at his actions or whether - as she initially claims - she is part of a chip that has been implanted in his brain.

Shortly after his arrival on the ''Galactica'', the fact that Cylons can look like humans becomes known to Commander [[Adama, William|William Adama]], and Batlar is put to work trying to devise a means of detecting humanoid Cylons. At the prompting of [[Number Six]], he exposes [[Doral, Aaron|Aaron Doral]] - a PR exceutive who has been co-ordinating the media coverage of the ''Galactica's'' decommissioning - as a Cylon agent ([[Mini-Series]]), using little more than invented technobabble to convince [[Colonel Tigh]]. As a result of this, and despite his protestations of innocence, Doral is put off the ship and left at the [[Ragnar Anchorage]].

Due to his unique abilities, Baltar is charged with turning his initial "[[Cylon detector]]" into a working machine capable of screening everyone in the fleet. While he at first baulks at this, events such as the sabotaging of the ''Galactica's'' water reserves ([[Water]]) force him into a position where he can no longer procrastinate over the detector - despite his fear that such a device might somehow expose him as the original traitor among humans. Gaining aid from a most unusual source - his inner Six ([[Bastille Day]]) - Baltar does eventually develop a genuine detector, which, together with his survival of an attempt to brand him as a traitor ([[Six Degrees of Separation]]), firmly establish his credentials within the fleet's hierarchy.

With this new-found trust, and despite his willingness to deliberately conceal vital information, such as [[Valerii, Sharon#"Boomer" Valerii|Lieutenant Valerii's]] true status as a [[Humano-Cylon]] ([[Flesh and Bone]]), Baltar is willing to be moved into the realm of political leadership, firstly as the Representative for [[Caprica]] on the [[Quorum of Twelve]], and then as the newly-elected Vice President within the fleet ([[Colonial Day]]).

=== Cylon Manipulations ===

The Cylons commenced their direct manipulations of Baltar some two years prior to the attack on the Twelve colonies, by bringing him into contact with their agent [[Number Six]], who instigated a torrid affair with him while at the same time using him to access vital Colonial command and control systems within the Ministry of Defence ([[Mini-Series]]).

This manipulation continued even after the Doctor left Caprica and Six behind, with Six appearing to him in a sensory perceptions, possibly through an implant in his brain ([[Mini-Series]]) or perhaps even through a series psychotic hallucinations as the Doctor struggles to reconcile his guilt and his desire of self-preservation.

Regardless of the cause of her appearances, Six has continued to both help and hinder Baltar, gradually drawing him to a point of near-open acceptance and participation in Cylon plans and activities ([[Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II]]). The majority of this manipulation has been through religious intrigue, linked to physical threats to Baltar's well-being. These have included:

* Using the threat of Baltar's former colleague, Dr. [[Amorak]], attempting to contact [[Roslin, Laura|President Roslin]] with information on a "traitor" within Colonial circles - and only "removing" this threat once Baltar has "repented of his sins" ([[33]])
* Using the threat of direct accusation (in the form of "[[Number Six#"Shelly Godfrey"|Shelly Godfry]]") coupled with "photographic evidence" - and only "removing" this threat once Baltar has "accept" the Cylon God into his life ([[Six Degrees of Separation]])

Baltar's near-acquiescence to the [[Cylon Religion|Cylon religion]] comes when he goes through a process similar to the [[wikipedia:Evangelicalism|evangelical Christian]] belief in "rebirth" through adult baptism. In this, the new believer in the Christian faith is baptized (generally through full immersion in water), symbolizing the "death" of the "old" self and "birth" of the "new" Christian self. In [[The Hand of God]], Baltar apparently undergoes "death" at the hands of his inner Six when she "breaks" his neck - and is "reborn" in his real life as the "instrument of God", able to point-out precisely where Colonial forces must strike in order to eliminate the Cylon base preventing them from accessing supplies of [[Tylium|tylium]].

This act leaves Baltar ripe for the final revelation of his role within Cylon expectations, when "the future" is revealed to him by Six on [[Kobol]], in the form of the first of "God's new generation of children" ([[Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II]]). Baltar is not particularly pleased by this, especialy when the fact that the first of these children is the child of he and Six is revealed to him. ([[Scattered]]) Despite this, when he believes Commander Adama is trying to kill the child, he tries to stop this. ([[Valley of Darkness]])

== Speculation: The Real Baltar? ==

For Baltar to survive the destruction of Caprica was no small matter, especially considering he was in the wake a nuclear blast and that, apparently, the body of Six that he knew was destroyed in trying to protect his in the events of the mini-series. But that blast was substantial (not unlike that from a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pyroclastic_flow pyroclastic flow]) and would tear through Six's body just as well as Baltar's. Six has had two years to gather plenty of Baltar's genetic material. Could the Baltar on ''Galactica'' be now, in fact, a Humano-Cylon?

Information from RDM indicate that, at the start of season 2, there are ''eight'' Cylon operatives that appear in the fleet. A Baltar copy would also had made matters very, very easy for the Cylons in their work to infiltrate the Colonial defenses and would be easily dropped in place to escape or happen to appear on a ship of the nascent fleet. Such clones may also explain the 'fake' recording from [[Shelly Godfrey]] of Baltar compromising Colonial computer systems in a latter Season 1 episode. Perhaps it was the Cylons who doctored what was, in reality, a legitimate recording of a Baltar copy.

One notable question would be why Six have spent so much time talking to Baltar, and then have thrown herself in front of the blast if she'd intended for him to die? If Baltar was already a humano-Cylon, his consciousness from that moment would be thrown into a waking duplicate, pre-disheveled and scraped, where Baltar would merely think he was blown clear to safety where he could run to escape attacks with other survivors. Also, since Baltar appeared to be key in many Cylon plans, they would want to ensure that Baltar would reach any remaining humans to spy for them, and having only one copy might risk the success of such plans.

In addition, Six has stated her desire to have a child with Baltar. Humano-Cylon couplings have failed to result in offspring prior to that point (''[[The Farm]]''). If Baltar and Six were both Humano-Cylon, it is likely that offspring would either be impossible or at least exceptionally unlikely. This point gives the strongest evidence against the Baltar-as-Cylon theory, but cannot (yet) dismiss the notion.

After being reinstated, Constanza demonstrated an aptitude for being inventive and, at times, seemed to jump the gun. He acts more cocksure than he really is and tries to be top dog. This is demonstrated when a group of 8 [[Cylon Raiders]] came upon them. Instead of obeying orders and heading toward the [[Galactica]] at full throttle, he went back and assisted his instructor, an act which almost lead to his death at Cylon hands due to his inexperience in a combat situation. He was subsequently located by [[Alert Fighters|Alert 1]] ([[Act of Contrition]]) and recovered by [[Boomer]] and [[Crashdown]]. ([[You Can't Go Home Again]])

Actually, I think that there is no way of making a spoiler-free version for everybody and making it work, too - because some country will always be the last to air the show, and by then, parts of the rest of the world will have forgotten about it already.

There is however one exception: There should really be no spoilers for shows that have not even aired, or at least not anywhere but that episode's summary. Otherwise, there is really no way one can enjoy this wiki ''and'' the show. (Happened for me with Home II.) I would even go as far as extending the no-spoilers for not-yet-aired shows for 24 hrs after the show, again, with the exception of the episodes's page. Because, let's fact it, lots of people will use P2P to see the show, because otherwise it would be years until they get to see it. The '''Colonial Government''' is a democratically elected government, headed by a President. The president at the time of the [[Cylon attack]] was President [[Adar]]. Upon his death, he was succedded by President [[Laura Roslin]], who had previously been the Secretary of Education. Roslin was appointed the presidency by the [[Case Orange]] governmental contingency mechanism.

The President is assisted by a Cabinet. Each government department is headed by a Secretary. The Vice President and the Cabinet are included in the line of succession. ([[Mini-Series]])

Each of the twelve colonies is represented by one elected member of the [[Quorum of Twelve]]. It is unknown if this is the only legislative body in the federal government. A second house would presumably be larger and have representation based on population. In the event of a tie during Quorum meetings, the President of the colonies casts the tie-breaking vote. At the current time, [[Gaius Baltar]] represents [[Caprica]] and [[Tom Zarek]] represents [[Sagittaron]]. The Vice President may be but is not required to be a member of the Quorum. ([[Colonial Day]]). It may be suggested that if a delegate is promoted to Vice President, he or she, the represented colony empowers another person as delegate. In [[Fragged]] twelve delegates, each wearing a sash to represent a colony, debate with Colonel Tigh and Gaius Baltar is not among them.

A Colonial city on [[Caprica]] featuring a large spaceport and military base. The tallest structure that could be seen for miles was the Telemontus building- a towering monument that pierced the Delphian city skyline by several stories.

Following the [[Cylon attack|Cylon Attack]], Delphi is used by the [[Cylons]] as their primary base of operations. [[Valerii, Sharon|Valerii]] and [[Agathon, Karl C.|Helo]] make their way acorss the planet in the hope of being able to find a vehicle they can use to fly off [[Caprica]] ([[Flesh and Bone]], [[Hand of God]], [[Colonial Day]]).

It is also the city that contains the [[Arrow of Apollo]], an artefact that may be the only clue to the whereabouts of Earth ([[Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I]], [[Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II]]). When [[Roslin, Laura|Laura Roslin]] has visions following the discovery of [[Kobol]], she overrides [[Adama, William|Adama's]] plans and persuades [[Thrace, Kara|Kara "Starbuck" Thrace]] to take her captured [[Cylon Raider]] to [[Caprica]] in order to recover the Arrow ([[Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I]]).

Successfully jumping to [[Caprica]], Starbuck lands next to the museum in which the Arrow is kept and manages to retrieve it, but she is badly beaten by [[Number Six|Six]], and encounters [[Agathon, Karl C.|Helo]] and the pregnant [[Valerii, Sharon|Sharon Valerii]] ([[Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II]]).

Starbuck once owned a studio apartment in Delphi. The place was a mess, it overlooked a parking lot, it had a broken toilet and the basic services were constantly being cut off because she didn't pay the bills. The apartment was littered with paintings of her own creation and of course her customary stogies. Starbuck wasn't very enthusiastic about the place, even when she owned it, the only reason she returned "home" was to collect an old jacket, a personal memento, and to get her car so she and Helo wouldn't have to walk anymore ([[Valley of Darkness]]).

The location of Delphi is one of many of the series’ influences by ancient Greek mythology and history. In antiquity, the Greek city of Delphi was home to the Delphic Oracle, a Sibyl who made predictions, delivered in song or verse, which may have been inspired or influenced by the breathing of vapors emitted from the ground. The Oracle was originally a Pythian priestess (named for the python, killed by Apollo). Overt time, she became known as The Pythia.

I know, it sounds a little over eager. I took several zoom in snap shots of the 12 banners both in the mini-series and also in Colonial Day. These are definitely the icons and the colors. Icon was a name used and so far the planet relative to Libra has not been mentioned. This is the only colony I find debatable. Certain colonies may not go with certain standards such as Aquarius or Leonis. I made this with flash in between my summer graduate classes. If you would like to use it, I don't mind- just give me credit.

I've been having fun building a flash battlestar galactica encyclopedia, but was glad to see you already had this even though my flash stuff was nearly finished. If you pay attention to the flags behind, they are all at random placements and that they are placed differently than that of the miniseries' memorial at the end. I played with the idea that the memorial's flags were in order of when they were nuked while the flags on Cloud Nine were placed in order of their signing the Articles of Colonization. It's purely guess though. Note that in Colonial Day, the Sagittaron flag is at the farthest right while Tom Zarek is somwhere in the middle. This clearly shows to me there is no relation between the flags' placements and the delegates sitting.

Question 1: I have not seen any information telling me there is a colony called Libra as of yet though I have watched each show probably about 7 times (I'm addicted). I'm still waiting. The Tomb of Athena did mention Libra, though. I do know that in the mini-series, Commander Adama or Laura Roslin said something like: "And the following colonies have been destroyed... Picon, Arelon, Sagittaron, Icon..." This isn't an exact quote but the subtitles even showed the word "ICON" which caught me off guard. The statement left an emphatic relation that it was more likely 1 of the 12 colonies instead of a moon like Trevor.

Question 2: The symbol on the side of Galactica is the flag for the 12 colonies unless I haven't been paying attention. It's like the US flag for the USA. In the center of the memorial flags at the end of the mini-series shows a black standard with the Phoenix icon in the middle and Battlestar Galactica BSG 75. This suggests to me that this is their symbol.

Question 3: I looked at the copy I have twice for Home, Part II and my copy is just way too dark. I would need to see better pictures to help me out because I'm not sure. I assume there would be a connection, especially since I remember Roslin saying Leo's constellation represents the flag of that tribe (which we can assume to be Leonis). Your pictures turn out so clear. I need to figure out how I can do the same.
