Michael Tigh was a Humanoid Cylon and a member of the Thirteenth Tribe.

Born on Kobol over 4,000 years ago before Fall of the Twelve Colonies, Michael served as the representative of his tribe in the Quorum of Thirteen, which was consistenly made up entirely of Humanoid Cylons.

During his life, Tigh develops an interest with the heretic young woman known as: Pythia, during her incarceration at the Maniae Asylum, in which in his frequent visits with her, leads him to develop a romantic interest in her. Pythia confides in Tigh regarding her visions of the blond woman in a red dress, who brings the Word of God, which they keep to themselves, although Tigh admits that he doesn't believe in her divine messagers and beliefs. It is assumed that Pythia also develops a romantic interest and feelings towards Michael, possibly due to his curiousity in her or his frequent visits.

As Pythia advocates the dissolution of the Quorum of Twelve and its hold over the people on Kobol, she is later publicly tried as a heretic and sentenced to immolation, thus fueling tensions between the atheistic Thirteenth Tribe and the polytheistic Twelve Tribes.

While standing on the steps of the Quorum building outside, Tigh is approached by a hooded man, who then knifes him, killing him. Tigh later awakens in the main resurrection facility on Kobol, where he is informed by another Cylon that other members of the Thirteenth Tribe are now rioting in the streets because there will be no investigation into his "death," and are being met by equal violence from human rioters.

Tigh has a confrontation with another member of the Quorum, who decides that the Thirteenth Tribe's seat should be abolished. She is revealed to be working with the same man, Magnus, that killed Tigh. As Magnus attempts to kill Tigh again, Tigh flees and rushes to rescue Pythia from asylym, whilest ordering all members of the Thirteenth Tribe to begin departing from Kobol.

Pythia's sentence doesn't come to pass as Kobol soon falls into chaos, forcing the exodus of the Thirteenth. Despite having gotten to Pythia first and attempting to flee back to the Thirteenth Tribe's Resurrection facility, Pythia is shot and killed by Magnus Baltar, and is unable to be resurrected by the Thirteenth Tribe as a Cylon. As Tigh is devestated by Pythia's death and his inability to save her, he later leads the Thirteenth Tribe to find a new homeworld, which Pythia had spoke of to him earlier, after the tribe is exiled from Kobol. (Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five 1)

As the fleet of the Thirteenth Tribe ships now depart Kobol, Tigh is soon greeted by Head Six - the same blond entity who once appeared to Pythia, and says that she has so much to tell him.

After the Thirteenth Tribe's exodus from Kobol and the tribe's discovery of the Algae planet and later Earth, Tigh would later marry Pythia and have a son: Saul Tigh, who would later become a member of the legendary Final Five. He would also become leader of the tribe, for over 2,000 years before his son assumed leadership upon his death.
Pythia was a human who lived on Kobol over 4,000 years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

During her life, Pythia came into contact with a blonde entity in a red dress who gives Pythia the word of God. As Pythia advocates the dissolution of the Quorum of Twelve and its hold over the people on Kobol, she becomes the subject of Michael Tigh's interest during her incarceration in the Maniae Asylum, possibly leading to a romantic interest. It is assumed that Pythia also develops a romantic interest and feelings towards Michael, possibly due to his curiousity in her or his frequent visits.

Pythia confides in Tigh regarding her visions of the woman in red, which they keep to themselves. Additionally, she exhibits signs of clairvoyance (as was the case with the death of Kara Thrace between 2 to 3 ACH) and wrote down many of her prophecies during her time in the sanitarium. As tensions mount on Kobol, she is later publicly tried as a heretic and sentenced to immolation, thus fueling tensions between the atheistic Thirteenth Tribe and the polytheistic Twelve Tribes.

This sentence doesn't come to pass as Kobol soon falls into chaos, forcing the exodus of the Thirteenth. During Tigh's attempt to save Pythia, she is killed by Magnus Baltar, and is unable to be resurrected by the Thirteenth Tribe as a Cylon. Tigh is devestated by Pythia's death and his inability to save her. He later leads the Thirteenth Tribe to a new homeworld, after being exiled from Kobol. (Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five 1)

When members of the Thirteenth Tribe are stranded on the Algae planet, with no resurrection and are cut off from the rest of the fleet, a
few Cylon survivors manage to survive the explosion and crash of their tribe's main resurrection ship.
The Cylon survivors begin burying their dead, while learning that the planet they crashed on had a large abundant alage food source, so they wouldn't starve anymore.

During a fight ensured by Michael Tigh and Magnus Baltar, a virtual being in the form of Pythia mysteriously arrives and breaks up the fight between the two. It is here that Pythia agrees to spare Magnus' life, on the condition that he'd return back to Kobol and brings the "word of Pythia" to the Twelve Tribes, where her words are posthumously published as a scripture text known as the: Book of Pythia by Aurora . Baltar agrees and he takes Pythia's ship and book and returns back to Kobol to preach the "word of Pythia" amoungst the human survivors there. (Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five 2).

Pythia then reveals to the Cylon survivors that she was here to help the survivors and guide them to the location of Earth and that she was going to lead them there. (Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five 3).

According to Head Six, the woman they see before them isn't really Pythia, but instead one of her own kind, Aurora. Head Six claims that Aurora is the only one of them that isn't content to just offer guidance, instead actively interfering by taking physical form. As Head-Six simply puts it, Pythia was actually the goddess Aurora, who had gone rogue and taken the form of the deceased Pythia to help guide the Cylon survivors to their new homeworld.

Together, with Pythia's help, the Cylon survivors' begin rebuilding a new Resurrection Ship with Pythia joins the tribe and leads them to Earth. Pythia also rewrote the survivors' genome to make biological procreation possible amoungst them. Upon arriving on Earth, it is revealed that both Michael and Pythia had one son: Saul Tigh, who would later become a member of the legendary Final Five, who was a little boy.

Upon settling on Earth, Pythia marries Michael Tigh and the two raise their son Saul together. Shortly upon settling on Earth to Saul, Pythia fell ill and died, just while Saul was an infant. However, Michael had banned Resurrection, due to the tribe being able to procreate and having offspring, and thus, was unable to save her. (Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five 3).

Nearly 2,000 years later, John Cavil would relate Pythia's fate to Saul, stating how she fell ill and begged Michael to bring Resurrection back to save her, but refused to do so on ideological grounds. Cavil would uses Pythia's fate as his reason to revive resurrection. (Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five 3).

He is assisted through the resurrection process by a fellow Cylon named Ellen, whom he reveals his name unto her.

Cavil would later join the Thirteenth Tribe as the tribe left Kobol and set out to search for a new planet to live on: Earth. Cavil often came at odds with Michael Tigh regarding many issues, and the two developed a rivalry and resentment towards one another lasting years. Cavil also begins to embrace his new Cylon physiology and culture, and begins to resent the Kobollian humans and their nature, believing the humans to be flawed and destructive, where the humans would eventually destroy themselves. He begins to embrace his new life as a machine and resents his previous life as a human, becoming anti-human. Cavil also starts up a friendship with Ellen, with an indication that he may hold romantic feelings for her; whether Ellen reciprocated Cavil's feelings for her or had any knowledge of them is unknown.
Pythia was a human who lived on Kobol over 4,000 years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

During her life, Pythia came into contact with a blonde entity in a red dress who gives Pythia the word of God. As Pythia advocates the dissolution of the Quorum of Twelve and its hold over the people on Kobol, she becomes the subject of Michael Tigh's interest during her incarceration in the Maniae Asylum.

During Tigh's attempt to save Pythia, she is killed by Magnus Baltar (Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five 1) who later brings Pythia's word to the Twelve Tribes where she is posthumously published, after being given the Book of Pythia by Aurora (Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five 2).

When members of the Thirteenth Tribe are stranded on the Algae planet, with no resurrection and are cut off from the rest of the fleet, a virtual being in the form of Pythia arrives to help the survivors by stating that she knows the location of Earth and that she was going to lead them there.

Together, with Pythia's help, the Resurrection Ship is rebuilt and Pythia joins the tribe and leads them to Earth. Pythia also
rewrote the survivors' genome to make biological procreation possible.

Upon settling on Earth, Pythia marries Michael Tigh and the two have a son: Saul Tigh, who would later become a member of the legendary Final Five. Shortly upon giving birth to Saul, Pythia fell ill and died, just while Saul was an infant.

John Cavil was a human who lived on Kobol over 4,000 years before the Fall of the Twelve Colonies.

While originally a human, Cavil would later become a Humanoid Cylon, after he risked his life to help people out of a burning wreckage, during which time Kobol had fallen into chaos. Cavil, who was gravely wounded in his rescue attempts, while trying to help the survivors from the explosion of the Thirteenth Tribe's first resurrection facility, is downloaded into a new body as a reward for his heroism and selfless acts.

Cavil would later join the Thirteenth Tribe as the tribe left Kobol and set out to search for a new planet to live on: Earth. Cavil often came at odds with Michael Tigh regarding many issues, and the two developed a rivalry and resentment towards one another lasting years.

While on the Alage planet, Cavil developed a relationship with a woman, however, she would later be killed in an explosion.

Upon settling on Earth, he would later have a daughter named: Ellen Cavil, name after the same woman he knew while the tribe was stranded on the Alage planet. Ellen would later marry Saul and would bear his surname. Ellen, much like Saul Tigh, would later become a member of the legendary Final Five.

Nearly 2,000 years later, Cavil would be killed by his own daughter, in an attempt to save Saul's life and prevent her father from carrying out his plans to cleanse the tribe and rebuild it in his own image, an attempt which proved to be futile.
