Kodiak-type vessel

The Kodiak-Type Vessel is a ship that is veiwed only a few times in the Colonial Fleet. The ship is said to be a cargo vessel, and also could possibly carry refugees or passengers. It is said that there were 3 ships like this in the fleet and all 3 names were never mentioned.

After the discovery of New Caprica and Vice president Giaus Baltar's election into office Gina aboard Cloud 9 detonated the Warhead that Giaus gave her several months ago. The blast devastates Cloud 9, destroying the entire ship in a matter of seconds. The nucleur blast pushes outward destroying a Colonial Movers ship. The Kodiak-Type Vessel and a Long Necked Vessel are also nearby. They both are destroyed instantley.

After colonization on New Caprica Cargo ships, Refinery Ships, and any ship that could be of colonization value landed on the surface. Any ships incapable of landing measures stayed in orbit with Galactica and Pegasus. The 2 other kodiak vessels landed on the surface supposedly and stayed until the Battle of New Caprica. They escaped and followed through the Battle of the Ionian Nebula, and later in the discovery of Earth.

They were both presumably flown into Sol by Anders, along with the rest of the Fleet.

The '''Yellow-hulled Vessel'''<ref>{{bsgwiki term}}</ref> was a transport ship in the [[Twelve Colonies of Kobol|Twelve Colonies]].

At least three survived the initial attacks, but one was left behind to be destroyed by the [[Cylons (RDM)|Cylons]]. The two[[FTL]]-capable one was seen throughout the Fleet ([[Act of Contrition]]) ([[Six Degrees of Separation]]) ([[Flesh and Bone]]).

One of the vessels was also seen orbiting ''[[Cloud 9]]'' when [[Gina Inviere]]'s nuclear bomb destroyed the luxury liner and three surrounding vessels, including the vessel itself the exsplosive force pushed out from Cloud 9 and hit a Colonial Movers ship and then that pushed over the Yellow Vessel, and a Long Necked Vessel. These both were destroyed instantley. ([[Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II]]).

The second would survive beyond the [[Battle of New Caprica|exodus]] from [[New Caprica]] ([[The Son Also Rises]]) and the [[Battle of the Ionian Nebula]] ([[Daybreak, Part II]]) where it was flown into the sun following the discovery of second Earth.

==Behind the Scenes==
*The ship resembles the ''Kodiak'' from the game Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun.
*The ship was often seen in the background and never seen up close until [[Daybreak, Part II]] just prior to ''[[Galactica (RDM)|Galactica]]'' leaving the fleet to rescue [[Hera Agathon]] from the Cylons.
**It was suspected that the ship design had been lost following the destruction of ''Cloud 9'' but the ship did make a reappearance in "[[The Son Also Rises]]" as [[Brendan Costanza|Hotdog]] checks in with the [[LSO]] two weeks after [[Kara Thrace|Starbuck]]'s death. This was believed to be a continuity error as it has been known for footage of the Fleet can be reused. The ship's full shot was seen once again in [[Daybreak, Part II]].

Hi i'm Luka, you might think i'm using the name for just username kicks but i'm not, thats my name. Anyway i have followed Battlestar Galactica like ever since i was little. My dad showed it to me and i never really understood it until the 3rd season. Now i'm talking about the Re-imagined series not the original series or Galactica 1980.

I love space anything space you come to me i got tons of info on fighter avionics and mama likes the guns. Engines sweet Hull's oh yeah, and design's u know thats where i'm at.
I draw ship designs of my own, i use some pointers from BSG and like other games and stuff. I dont steal ideas but i do get alot of my ideas from other sources, and create a new ship with 2 or more things from the original image or makeup.

I'd say i'm definatley hooked on BSG. It's something that i'm going to look back on when i'm older and say hey i was that kid who recorded every episode and cryed during the last one.

It always stuck with me that the show followed such a historic base of Polytheism and greek and Roman mythology. I also never understood how when they finally found Earth, that it was in the early ages of cavemen and no technology whatsoever. It amazes me how it ended like that. I love BSG and i'm never going to forget it.
