'''Graystone Industries''' is a [[Caprica (RDM)|Caprica]]-based technology company created by [[Daniel Graystone]], who is its CEO. The company was created more than 60 years prior to the [[Fall of the Twelve Colonies]] and is responsible for the creation of the [[holoband]] technology, but was later known for the technology that changed the human race—the [[Cybernetic Life-Form Node]], or Cylon. Once the [[U-87]] prototype Cylon was successfully demonstrated under simulated combat conditions, the Caprican Ministry of Defense awarded the company with a contract for constructing one hundred thousand copies of the robot ([[CAP]]: [[Caprica pilot|''Caprica'' pilot]]).

The financial future of the company was put into serious doubt when Daniel pledged on [[Backtalk_with_Baxter_Sarno|one of Caprica's most popular television programs]] to divert all profits from holoband sales and [[V-World]] space to funding anti-addiction efforts--affecting sixty percent of Graystone Industries' revenues ([[CAP]]: "[[Gravedancing]]"). In response, the board of directors began debate on removing him from the board, despite [[Cyrus Xander]]'s recognition that Daniel himself "is the brand." Daniel countered with a demonstration of the U-87's unique capabilities, arguing that sales for both military and civilian applications would sustain the company and affect society in a far more profound way than the holoband ([[CAP]]: "[[There Is Another Sky]]"). The demonstration saved Daniel's position as CEO ([[CAP]]: "[[Know Thy Enemy]]"), but continuing inability to produce copies of the U-87 and the [[Philomon|deadly escape]] of the U-87 culminated in the Ministry of Defense stripping the contract from the company and granting it to its chief competitor, [[Vergis Corporation]] ([[CAP]]: "[[End of Line]]").

Shortly after [[Tomas Vergis]] gains control of Graystone Industries, with the help of the criminal [[Ha'la'tha]] Daniel Graystone blackmails the board of directors into reinstating him as CEO. In despair and fear of the Ha'la'tha, Tomas Vergis kills himself. In return for their help, Graystone grants the Ha'la'tha partial ownership of the company and their followers are seen in influential roles throughout the company's buildings and projects for some time thereafter. Under Daniel Graystone's renewed leadership and especially following his thwarting of the Ha'la'tha's attempt to assasinate him and the [[STO]] terrorist attack, Graystone Industries rebounds tremendously and spearheads the integration of [[Cylons]] into Colonial society ([[CAP]]: "[[Apotheosis]]").

The '''''Adriatic''''' is the first ship in the [[The Fleet (RDM)|Fleet]] other than ''[[Galactica]]'' and ''[[Pegasus (RDM)|Pegasus]]'' that is known to have weapons. ''Adriatic'' is armed with ship-to-ship missiles of a limited range.

This ship, or at least a majority of her crew, are part of [[Roslin Faction|Roslin's fleet]] that jumps to Kobol.

It is in weapon's range of [[Kara Thrace]] and her party's stolen Cylon [[Heavy Raider]] when it returns from [[Caprica (RDM)|Caprica]], though it does not fire ([[Home, Part I]]).

When [[Kendra Shaw]] tries to tune in to a [[Talk Wireless]] interview with Gaius Baltar, she picks up a transmission from the ''Adriatic'' to the ''[[Demetrius]]'' concerning cargo wasting in its holds ([[Razor]]).

The ''Adriatic'' is permanently lost along with its skeleton crew during its passage through a star cluster putting out immense amounts of stellar radiation after Lieutenant [[Brendan Costanza]] fails to locate and shepherd the ship to safety ([[The Passage]]).
