A Note on Language/Aerelon/Grace Park
It is true that Grace Park is a fluent speaker of Korean, but her English--either as Sharon Valerii or as herself in interviews--bears no trace of a Korean accent whatsoever. I am married to a native Korean speaker, have friends and colleagues who speak Korean either as their first or second language, and have been studying the language for a few years myself, so I am absolutely certain that Korean has no bearing on what might or might not be considered an Aerelon accent.

On a somewhat smaller matter, there is no accepted version of English called "General English," with a capital G. I am willing to accept a lower case g, "general English," to indicate "common sense" notions about the accent/group of accents.
:Please, do me the courtesy of replying to my comments before altering Language in the Twelve Colonies unilaterally. --Peter Farago 02:45, 19 October 2005 (EDT)

::I'm sorry, I'm new to this system and I didn't see your comments or the "Languages of the Twelve Colonies" talk page until after I had made the changes. I'm still trying to figure out exactly what goes where.

:::No harm, no foul. --Peter Farago 02:48, 19 October 2005 (EDT)

Can I just respond to you here, for now? It seems more convenient. You said that Grace Park's bilingualism would come up eventually. I would recommend limiting discussions of her bilingualism to the actress' bio page. The label "Korean" doesn't meaningfully describe anything that's going on when Sharon/Boomer is speaking. My own Korean is getting good enough that I'm approaching true "bilingual" status, but nobody would use "Korean" to describe my English.
Punctuation
A comma is after the second quotation mark, not before, when the reason there are quotation marks is that it's an episode title, as this makes the marks part of an object not a quote. A comma is not used before the last term in a series when it's a simple series according to AP Style, which I follow in my work as web editor for my university's CIT department. -- Noneofyourbusiness 10:12, 11 June 2011 (EDT)

:As you noted, AP style avoids serial commas before conjunctions in a series of simple terms. However, Battlestar Wiki is not governed by AP style rules: it isn't journalism, nor is there anything in the Standards and Conventions regarding AP style. Therefore, a writer may follow AP style on this point or s/he may not, based on her/his preference. I won't second guess your choice in this matter. But, you are wrong about commas and periods inside or outside quotation marks and AP style--even AP style requires them inside the quotation marks, with no exceptions for the titles of creative works. Here is a small selection of websites covering AP style, including at least one with samples of creative works in quotation marks:

http://www.brandeis.edu/communications/webcommunications/images/apstyle.pdf
http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/735/02/
http://www.sc.edu/webpresence/editorial_guide/punctuation.html

Placing commas and periods inside quotation marks is not just an AP rule; it is standard across the majority of American styles, unless there is a chance of ambiguity, which would not be a risk here. You're confusing American style with British style (a.k.a. "logical punctuation").

HOWEVER, bringing the discussion back to Battlestar Wiki, the specific Standards and Conventions for this wiki state, "Contrary to standard American punctuation rules, place commas and periods after the quotation mark." Therefore, you were correct about the commas in this case, but not for the reason you thought. --BlueResistance, 23:05, 12 June 2011 (UTC).
: I didn't say the quote thing was AP. Anyway, I'm glad it's resolved. -- Noneofyourbusiness 19:16, 12 June 2011 (EDT)
I know. It's weird. But I keep hearing it referenced as a Battlestar in official media. To me, it isn't, but I asked about it on the official B&C Facebook page, which I think is run by one of BSG Wiki's founders, I got a reply back stating it's written on the ship's patch. When I went back to episode 4, I can barely see "battlestar" written on it, but the ship is too dark to make out the ship's name. Curiously, many of the characters are filmed from their right side.

I've put in an inquiry to the ANOVOS page (who made the B&C uniforms), to see what they did with the patch.

Maybe perhaps in canon it might be an earlier "battlestar" built before the onset of the war? It's been said on Serge's Twitter that the Colonials were already using that designation before the war.
My recent edits
Let me know on my talk page when you get this with your response. I didn't get that message from you until a few minutes ago so sorry about that. You can erase the Delphi Skirmish page if you want, your probably right about that, but the others should probably stay. Most of my other edits that are not new pages are adding information where its lacking and in some pages like the Sharon Valerii page adding the episode tags. I wrote most of the information where those tags had to go myself back when the episode came out (I also created some of the battle pages such as the Battle of the Colony) and forgot to add them then. I noticed it and fixed it that's all. On the Kobol battle page I added a bit more where it seemed warranted. I actually considered adding the Skirmish on Kobol as part of that battle but then I decided to make it separate since I figured there must be a reason it wasn't added there as part of that battle. Not too sure about the Skirmish With a Raider page so if you think it should go do it but I thought it should be added since they did battle that Raider. The one with Scar should stay since that was kinda a major skirmish. I added Hera's kidnapping since that was a major event that led up to the Battle of the Colony. The one at the farm was kinda major since that's where they met Simon for the first time and its more than just a hand-to-hand fight so I'd like that kept if possible. I figured it'd be alright to add the skirmishes since the one over the Red Moon is there so its obviously not forbidden. I'm just on a BSG craze lately and decided to add some stuff. That's it though besides any edits to existing pages I feel need to be done. As for the multiple edits to the pages I created that was mostly me going back and editing myself where I noticed mistakes when I read the completed product. My computer is giving me a hard time with displaying the finished work and I can't get preview pages. I actually have to save then hit Back to the original opened page to see what I've done all the time. Believe it or not I've got Rollback rights on the Kane Chronicles wiki due to my contributions there (don't really understand that) and was promoted to Administrator myself on the Gears of War wiki. Not sure how that happened and I don't really do much more than I used to do as I don't really understand that role.--WarGrowlmon15 02:52, 12 August 2014 (EDT)
:Please don't explain all of this. Just allow your work to stand or fall on its own. More importantly, take a short break and give other users of the Wiki a chance to catch up. -- BlueResistance 07:39, 12 August 2014 (EDT)
::Well I am done for now. Like I said the most I'll do is minor edits to existing pages like I've done in the past. I'm all done adding new pages. I would've liked it though if you'd responded to my thoughts about why I did the things I did. I wrote that because I wanted your opinion on it.--WarGrowlmon15 12:30, 12 August 2014 (EDT)
:::I will respond in detail, while reviewing and editing individual contributions (and hopefully other users will contribute, too). A user talk page isn't the place to go into every specific issue with other articles. Trying to comment on everything in one massive paragraph at once would be too time consuming (one of the main issues here) and overwhelming from both a writing perspective and a reading perspective. --BlueResistance 12:50, 12 August 2014 (EDT)
::::I actually did put some of my thoughts on the talk page for the Skirmish With Scar article when I wrote it but no one's responded. I'm just curious if your going to delete the Delphi Museum one. I know you don't like it and probably have a point (and in the paragraph I said go ahead if you want to) but its still up. All I want is the Scar, Farm, Kobol and Kidnapping of Hera pages to stay. I think they're important enough to the plot to warrant that much. I don't care if they're edited, go ahead and do that, I welcome it but I just don't want all my work deleted.--WarGrowlmon15 13:37, 12 August 2014 (EDT)
:::::Unfortunately, you aren't understanding the need to step back and allow others the time they require to look through your work, or my request that you avoid discussing individual articles here. I've never seen Crapica and I don't do episode summaries so I won't be doing Blood and Chrome. I've tried to add information on pages where it was needed by that's it. Oh and you said the block was till Friday or Saturday. It's Monday and it kinda pissed me off especially as you've left a broken link on a page for days that's easily fixed and I can't do anything about it. I told you I was basically done. All I was doing when you blocked me was making a few of the battle pages that were just one giant summary into pages that looked more like most of the battle pages on this wiki. They weren't really up to standards.--WarGrowlmon15 11:51, 18 August 2014 (EDT)
We don't put links in each section here that are the same??? Sorry, I didn't realize that. I'm a major contributor on many wikis including this one and actually hold the position of Administrator (their version of Chief) on another one due to all my contributions. On the other ones, including the one where I'm Administrator we put links like that. Or at least no one's said any different. I thought that was fine. Oh and thanks for fixing the Battle of the Asteroid Fields thing.
Hi, I'm a long-time (but incredibly infrequent) poster, so my skills are virtually nil. I wrote an article at Battlestar Galactica Movie, which is pretty terrible. I'm sure the name alone violates a rule somewhere. However, I could find no article covering the topic, and it does seem to be legitimately posted on this wiki's Twitter account.

I'm hoping it can be turned into a reasonable-looking article. Right now there's few hard facts, so there's little to put into it right now. Kimera757 18:59, 13 June 2016 (EDT)

Unity by Steven Harper (published by Tor Books), is an original novel based on the Re-imagined Series.

Description
A prophecy is fulfilled when Peter Attis is rescued from the Cylons in order to save humanity with "the plague of the tongue." Or so it seems…

While harvesting algae for conversion into food, the beleaguered human/refugee fleet is discovered by a small group of Cylon raiders. A brief battle ends with the destruction of a Cylon heavy raider. A colonial issue escape pod found floating among the debris reveals two survivors inside: Singer Peter Attis . . . and his captor, a Cylon Number Eight.

Soon after Peter's liberation, people begin babbling incoherently and dropping into comas. Unwittingly, Peter has been spreading a highly contagious, nerve-deteriorating Cylon biological weapon -- and he just performed for half the fleet. As Dr. Gaius Baltar begins work on a cure, word starts to spread that a fanatical sect believes that Peter is the religious leader who will save humanity and that this virus is their path to salvation. They are willing to do anything to keep Baltar's vaccine from being distributed.

While the fleet is in chaos, a larger Cylon force appears. A weakened humankind, now threatened on two fronts, may be unable to defend itself…

Book Notes
*The novel takes place between the episodes "Flight of the Phoenix" and "Pegasus".
*Despite being based on the Re-imagined Series, the novel initially substitutes the terms "scanner" and "radio" for DRADIS and wireless. This is later rectified.
Overview
When the demand for the Cylon production is dramatically changed to just a week, Daniel calls the order to clean the MCP, which will destroy the Zoe avatar in the process and forces her to take drastic actions to escape. Barnabas puts Lacy's allegiance to the STO to a test, as Clarice plans a trip to Gemenon. Amanda is haunted by visions of her brother and the allegations made by Vergis against her husband push her to the brink. Emmanuelle finds Tamara so as to finally take Joseph's quest to an end.

Act 4
Notes
* The phrase "end of line" is used by the Master Control Program (MCP) in the cult film Tron. The acronym later finds use in Caprica when discussing the meta-cognitive processor.
* End of line is phrase often spoken by Cylon hybrids.
* "End of line" is also used in various programming languages to signify the end of a line in a program or other computer script.
* Jesse Haddock is credited as Vergis's driver rather than Darius because this was leftover from the original concept of Amanda's visions of her brother. According to David Eick's podcast for "Ghosts in the Machine", it was planned for it to be part of a hoax perpetrated by Vergis who found a look-alike of her brother to drive Amanda insane. However, it was decided instead to portray it as her mental reaction to Zoe's death and all scenes that were filmed to explain it as a ruse were edited out.

Analysis
Questions
* Will Joseph accept that he will never see Tamara again?
* What will become of Tamara-A in New Cap City?
* Will Joseph learn that Evelyn was Emmanuelle?
* Is Evelyn from Tauron or does she merely know the language?
* Will Amanda survive her attempted suicide?
* Will Clarice be involved in what next happens to Amanda?
* What will Clarice do about Barnabas' attempt to kill her?
* How will the STO leadership on Gemenon view Barnabas' actions if they are made known to them?
* Were Nestor and bystanders killed by the car bomb?
* Will Lacy and Keon continue to work for Barnabas now that he has shown a willingness to kill both of them, or will they attempt to escape or oust him?
* Will Zoe-R survive the wrecking of the car she was in?
* Will the GDD recapture Zoe?
* If Zoe is recaptured, what will be done to her?
* How will Philomon's fate and Lacy's apparent inability to help her affect Zoe's attitudes towards humans?
* What is the extent of Vergis and Patel's involvement?
* Will Vergis succeed in securing the defense contract?
* What was Daniel phoned about?
Joseph Adama, Attorney At Law (a.k.a. Joseph Adams) was the husband of Shannon, father of Tamara and William Adama, and a well-known, notorious civil liberties lawyer on Caprica ("Litmus", "The Son Also Rises") who worked as a mob lawyer for the Tauron-based criminal organization Ha'la'tha nearly 60 years before the Fall.

Biography
Adama was originally a Tauron who emigrated to Caprica and assumed the more Caprican sounding surname "Adams" because of the traditional prejudice against Taurons (additionally, the proper Tauron pronounciation of his first name is Iusif or "yu-SEEF" IPA: ju'sif). He and his brother Sam were orphaned during the Tauron Civil War and grew up in a Caprican orphanage. Their father was William. (Joseph's son is the namesake of Joseph's father.) Joseph became an influential defense attorney with ties to the Ha'la'tha, an organized crime underworld, as a result of having his education paid for by them.

Fifty-eight years before the Fall, his wife and daughter are killed in Ben Stark's suicide bombing of the Lev in Caprica City. Sometime later in his life, Adama went back to his original family name, given his revelation to young William about their family name weeks after the terrorist attack.

Development of the Cylons
Adama bonded with Daniel Graystone, a wealthy computer engineer whose daughter, Zoe Graystone, was killed in the same suicide bombing in which Shannon and Tamara died. Adama reluctantly agreed to help Daniel create digitized versions (holographic avatars) of their daughters, using code created by Zoe to create a perfect copy. later, by stealing the meta-cognitive processor technology from Tauron technology developer Tomas Vergis. After Graystone creates an avatar of Tamara, Adama sees "her" in the virtual world of the holoband, only to be appalled and disgusted by the technology after discovering that the Tamara there is distraught over not feeling alive. Extracting himself from the holoband, he voices his belief that Graystone is insane and that trying to bring back the dead via technology was unnatural (Caprica pilot).

Graystone later lost contact with the Tamara avatar right when Adama wanted to see her again. A disappointed Adama then asked his brother, Sam, to kill Graystone's wife in revenge, on the grounds that Adama lost his wife [i]and[/i] daughter, while Graystone only lost his daughter: a potential terrorist. (The Reins of a Waterfall)

The Notorious Lawyer
Adama believed that law was a way of exorcising everyone's demons, a belief that lead him to defend "the worst of the worst." Lee Adama remembered reading about how Joseph let "murderers go free," though never understanding why Joseph put himself through the abuse. In a discussion with Lampkin, it is revealed to Lee that Adama sought to understand the motivations that cause people to cheat, why people reward their enemies, go to war, and why people build machines to correct their flaws and shortcomings (The Son Also Rises). Lee apparently remains ignorant to Joseph Adama's connections to the Ha'la'tha, while it is uncertain whether Lampkin knew of the connection.

Adama always carried a silver lighter during his cases; he considered it good luck, and claimed he only lost a case when he left it at home. He later gave it to his son William, who, after the holocaust, loaned it to his own son as a token of luck for a crucial mission, which was returned to him after the mission's success (The Hand of God).

Before going to trial, Adama would always break pencils before entering the courtroom as a reminder to "break preconceptions" and "work with what you had." He would then ask to borrow a pencil from the clerk. Adama's son recounted this ritual to Laura Roslin before her upcoming Presidential debate, leading her to try it herself (Lay Down Your Burdens, Part I).

Legacies
After the Fall, his son William Adama (commander of Galactica) remarked that he thought Adama was a better father than he ever was to his own children (The Hand of God). Adama's grandson, Lee Adama, would repeatedly visit the elder Adama during his youth, sneaking a peek at Joseph's various law books (A Day in the Life). Joseph would repeatedly wave Lee over, telling him "Lee, be a good boy. Just don't be too good." (The Son Also Rises)

During his tenure, defense attorney Romo Lampkin was one of Adama's students, likely meeting him while working in one of Caprica's civil litigation offices. Though Lampkin claims to have hated the man "because he was right" about the law, Lampkin also admits to learning everything he knows about the law from Adama, and even carries a worn copy of Law and Mind: The Psychology of Legal Practice with him. After first meeting Lee Adama, Lampkin claims that he looked like his grandfather (The Son Also Rises). Another book written by Adama is Trial Tactics and Strategies (Crossroads, Part I).

Notes
* According to the basic storyline for the proposed Caprica TV series, Joseph Adama, a central character in the series, is a civil liberties lawyer and political opponent of the Graystone Family, owners of the corporation that constructed the original robotic Cylons on the colony of Caprica. While Adama's position in the controversy is uncertain, much of the political controversy surrounding the Cylons involved their slavery.
Apotheosis hinted in The Plan
To quote the Hybrid in the Plan (when the basestars are jumping in over Caprica):
"Apotheosis was the beginning of the beginning"

Now we know that apotheosis involves God's Plan, Zoe's avatar and to "save all of us" from Sister Clarice in this episode.

So we can start to discuss our rise of monotheism in the Cylons theories.

Sam takes orders from Joseph?
Perhaps this can be added to observations/questions. If Sam is a full-member of the Tauron mafia, while Joseph just corrupts judges, why does Joseph get to tell Sam who to kill? Kimera757 23:35, 11 February 2010 (UTC)

An ECO, or Electronic Countermeasures Officer , is responsible for the electronic countermeasures on a Raptor (Miniseries, "33").

The first ECO seen was Karl "Helo" Agathon, working with Sharon "Boomer" Valerii during an ill-fated Viper Mark VII squadron attack against two Cylon Raiders during the Cylon attack on the Twelve Colonies (Miniseries, Night 1).

ECOs also operate computer equipment, including scanning and detection equipment ("Water", "The Hand of God").

ECOs are also trained to fly a Raptor in case the primary pilot is incapacitated or unavailable. Alex "Crashdown" Quartararo pilots his Raptor when his pilot Karma is killed (Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I). Margaret "Racetrack" Edmondson has served as both pilot and ECO on several occasions ("Fragged", "Final Cut").

As Galactica initially faces chronic pilot and ship shortages, ECOs such as Agathon and Edmondson often pull "double-duty" as either pilot or ECO as assigned by the CAG. After the New Caprica exodus, this was less of an issue (Torn), but after the events of Gaeta's Mutiny, personnel shortages left the pilots of Raptors searching for habitable planets flying without ECOs (Someone to Watch Over Me).

The humanoid Cylons, as well as a small minority of humans, worship a single deity they call only by the name of God. Cylons justify or attribute much of their actions, including the genocidal attack against humanity, as a requirement of their God. The Cylons profess a series of commandments given by their God. However, the specific commandments have not been fully revealed.

While very knowledgeable of the Lords of Kobol, the Cylons feel that the Colonials worship false gods (Home, Part I).

Several seemingly miraculous events suggest that there may be more to the "Cylon God" than mere myth. Virtual Six has claimed to be an agent of her deity, and has access to knowledge which seems to belie rational explanation. The healing of Derrick is similarly inexplicable.

The conclusion makes it clear that the being or power the Cylons refer to as God exists and uses "angels", but its true nature is unclear and it does not care for the name "God" (Daybreak, Part II).

Twelve Colonies
A small minority of monotheistic humans existed on the Twelve Colonies before the Fall. Their religion was looked upon as dangerous and heretical by the majority of Colonial society and most of them were forced to hide their beliefs. The secret monotheistic organization was known as the Soldiers of the One and considered a terrorist group by the Caprica government.

Two of them were Zoe Graystone, a closeted monotheist and her boyfriend, Ben Stark, who was more fanatical of the two. Graystone and Stark died in a suicide bombing caused by the latter, but Zoe had created a digital copy of herself before her death. Zoe Graystone's avatar, Zoe-A, was later uploaded into the first Colonial Cylon, a mechanical model created by her father, Daniel Graystone. The fact that the first Centurion in the Colonies had the memories of a human monotheist might have been the cause of the Cylons' belief in one God.

The Cylon Centurions that participated in the First Cylon War practiced this monotheistic religion. The Final Five Cylons from Earth, Samuel Anders, Tory Foster, Ellen Tigh, Saul Tigh, and Galen Tyrol, encountered these Centurions and were encouraged, Ellen in particular, by the possibility that their belief in a single loving God could end the cycle of violence. They adopted monotheism themselves, as opposed to their previous polytheistic beliefs, and are responsible for the belief system of the subsequent humanoid Cylons which they created as part of their alliance with the Centurions (No Exit).

First Hybrid
Cylon databases report of a protoype Hybrid which was the result of early experiments in evolution to biological beings. This experiment was considered a failure but believed by some to still be alive. When Kendra Shaw meets this hybrid, he declares that "my children believe I am a god" and he makes a number of statements demonstrating significant and prophetic knowledge. He refers to Kendra as "my child." (Razor).

Baltar
Gaius Baltar, initially sceptical of all religion, is converted to the Cylon faith though the persuasion of his Virtual Six and comes to conclude that he is an agent of God (The Hand of God). Despite this Baltar is far from a model believer and his path of faith is very rocky.

Upon orders from Virtual Six, Baltar instructs his cult, who appear to regard him as a prophet, to follow the "one true God", though it does not seem likely he has explained that this is also the Cylon God.

Judeo-Christian References
The Re-imagined Series contains few references to Judeo-Christian concepts.

* "Jesus." -- Colonel Tigh, Miniseries (unscripted ad-lib)<ref>According to RDM, the "Jesus" line was an ad-lib by Michael Hogan.
* "I figured, the devil you know..." -- Laura Roslin, "Colonial Day"

* "God is love" -- Number Six, Miniseries, (1 John 4:16)

The "I am" statement in "The Hand of God" is noteworthy because of the self-description that the Judeo-Christian God gives to Moses in the Book of Exodus, "I am that I am". The Christian messiah, Jesus, has a series of "I am" statements in the New Testament of the Bible. The Bible contains over 300 "I am" statements. The Hebrew name for God, Yahweh, is derived from the Hebrew word for "I am" or "to be".

The five priests of the Temple of Five worshiped a "god whose name must not be spoken." In Jewish tradition, the name of God (Yahweh) is not spoken. In a deleted scene (Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part I), Elosha states that the exodus from Kobol was precipitated when "one jealous god began to desire that he be elevated above all the other gods, and the war on Kobol began." The 1st commandment requires the faithful have no other god before Yahweh.

A number of elements from the show derive from Mormonism, the religion of series creator Glen Larson. In particular, the concept of a lost Thirteenth Tribe is from Mormon legend. The Quorum of Twelve is also a Mormon concept.

A curious parallel to the series is found in the Exodus story of the Old Testament: Moses led the Israelites out of the Egyptian captivity toward the promised land, but did not live to lead the Israelites into the promised land because he doubted the water coming from the stone (Numbers 20:12). This parallels the Pythian prophecy of the leader (presumed to be Laura Roslin) ,who, according to the Sacred Scrolls, will not live to see the promised land of Earth (The Hand of God).

The name of Pergamus Flats (a location on New Caprica) is similar to Pergamus, a city mentioned in Revelation 2:12.

Both the Colonials and the Cylons have had an experience similar to the Jewish exodus from Egypt; the Cylons following the war with the Colonies (including a 40 year period in the wilderness and the slaying of all in the promised land) and the Colonials following their escape from New Caprica.

Official statements
*In an interview with BattlestarGalactica.com on December 28th, 2005 Ron Moore was asked about fan speculation that the Cylon God may be Count Iblis in the Re-imagined Series:

: Q: "There's speculation that Count Iblis' counterpart in this series is the as-yet-unseen Cylon God. Is there any possibility that elements of the original series "War of the Gods" storyline may weave themselves into the new series?

:RDM: While I have thought of incorporating the Count Iblis/Ship of Lights mythology from the original show into the series, I've pretty much decided not to go there for now. The theological construct we've been establishing seems more interesting to me at this point and I don't think Iblis will be part of the current show."

*RDM noted in his podcast of "Kobol's Last Gleaming, Part II", that the original ending of Season One called for actor Dirk Benedict to appear to Baltar on Kobol and introduce himself as "God". Numerous prohibiting factors prevented this storyline from making it on camera, chief among them was Moore's confessed inability to write a feasible conclusion to the surprise revelation at the time. Another mitigating factor which influenced Moore to drop the idea was that when he revealed his idea to the other writers, the entire writing team found the idea simply revolting, so Moore acquiesced.

* In an interview at beliefnet.com Ron Moore made the following statement in response to the question:
:Q: " In “Galactica 1980,” we actually meet the “Imperious Commander” of the Cylons who turns out to be the Devil in the guise of a humanoid. Will we ever meet the maker of the Cylons in this version?

:A: I think if we ever found an answer to why the Cylons have a god or who the god is--you know, the guy steps out from behind the curtain--I think you’d be disappointed. They’re in an interesting place in that their faith is as legitimate as the human faith. Human beings have souls given by the gods, and Cylons have a soul given by their one true god and that has to be just as valid. That means there is a plan for their soul and something for them after they die too. It’s a fundamental element of their faith. "

Regarding the Caprican Facilities
We don't know if they existed....in fact, the only comments we've gotten regarding Boomer's specific Resurrection imply that it was actually on a resurrection ship assigned to the tweleve colonies. And if she, who died months after the attack, did not resurrect in a facility, I doubt there was any on the planet....--Sauron18 21:06, 17 October 2006 (CDT)

::The ship only needs to be somewhere in the solar system and not really in orbit of the planet. We know that at least several other planets are in the same system as Caprica; possibly all. But all ever see is Caprica. For all we know it could be in orbit of, let's say, Aerelon and the signal run time is - just inventing a number here - one hour. --Serenity 07:17, 18 October 2006 (CDT)

:::I agree. But it has to be close. I'm sorry if the article implies that they have to be near. There's nothing yet to suggest that resurrections happen only on Resurrection Ships (assuming there's more than one), so something's up here. Could be an BW:OC question, but Ngarenn has been very quiet (and likely very busy). --Spencerian 15:33, 18 October 2006 (CDT)

::::Btw, I noticed you talked about New Caprica there, while I thought this was about Old Caprica, so to speak. Obviously there is only one planet at New Caprica, but there could have been a RS somewhere in the Twelve Colonies system. But I think assuming that the resurrection of Boomer and Six took place on the planet iself is equally valid. And it makes more sense for them to build a planet-bound facility there than on New Caprica. --Serenity 15:41, 18 October 2006 (CDT)

:::::Actually, Ngarenn did confirm that Resurrection happened either on a Resurrection ship or on a Resurrection Facility on the colonies (not in the homeworld). So this leaves it ambiguous. However, we know Caprica Six was reorn in the Ship (too soon for facilities), and according to Grace Park, "boomer is resurrected in a ship" .

:::::So basically, Ngarenn said that Resurrection in the 12 Colonies was either on a Resurrection Ship or on a Facility on the planets (Not Homeworld). We know Six was reborn in a ship, and only Boomer was ambiguous, until Grace told us she was reborn in a ship. So this means, in my opinion, that resurrections in the 12 col. were taken care of by a Resurrection Ship somewhere in the system.

:::::And I am talking about the 12 Col. here. New Caprica is probably the same, but we only know factually of the 12 Col. which is the info presented above :p--Sauron18 15:48, 18 October 2006 (CDT)

I've been wondering - in Rapture the implication to me in Rapture was that Athena downloaded to the Basestar that Hera was on. Do folks think that she downloaded to an unseen resurrection ship and then got over to the Basestar somehow? Meatwad 12:24, 16 April 2007 (CDT)
:She downloaded to a Resurrection Ship, which was focused on by the camera before we saw her in the tank. If Basestars could resurrect Cylons, Resurrection Ships would be unnecessary. -- Noneofyourbusiness 11:46, 6 November 2007 (CST)
In the "Dark Empire" Star Wars comics, Palpatine repeatedly cheats death by transferring his consciousness into clones of his body. The Cylon resurrection process strikes me as similar. ZeldaTheSwordsman 20:57, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
I have a question (series).

Ellen Tigh was resurrected shortly after her death on New Caprica, in her body (not another model's). In order for this to make sense, Cavil had to have secretly kept a copy of her body (and presumably those of the other Final Five) since the First Cylon War.

Furthermore, Kara Thrace seems to have been resurrected before the destruction of the Resurrection Hub. (We don't even know if she's a Cylon; I think there's a good chance she's a half-Cylon, but that only adds to the confusion.) We don't know whether half-Cylons can be resurrected, as there's been so few and we're not sure Thrace is half-Cylon (or any part Cylon) or not anyway, but [i]if[/i] she is, this means:

1) Half-Cylons can be resurrected.
2) How/why did someone keep a copy of her body lying around? (If she's a half-Cylon, it seems this would have been a secret to the Cylons.)
3) Does this leave any hope for Liam Tigh? (Probably not.) Kimera757 15:44, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

:There's still the matter of the numerous downloads on New Caprica. The "where" is still in question, and Resurrection Ships are pretty large to hide... :) --Spencerian 21:41, 17 October 2006 (CDT)
