This noticeboard is a location to discuss and coordinate administrative tasks for the Battlestar Wiki.

It is our hope that this place can serve as a location for administrators to coordinate their efforts on the maintenance tasks of the Wiki (it's not ALL fun and games), as well as a spot for our contributors to be able to bring things to the attention of the admins if something needs to be done. == Cubit Related Images ==

I have tried from 4 different computers at 4 different locations to view the "Related Images" section towards the bottom of the page. Each time a 100 cubit note pops up for about 5 seconds and then it vanishes. After that I am unable to see any of the pics in this section. Why? Is there some special kind of trick I need to use? Please help?

It's been so long since I bought my dvds, and unfortunately lost track of where I was in the show.
I am re watching it now, only to realize I purchased some kind of tin case for season 4.0.

I think my last question several months ago was overlooked. I would like to know what is to become of the Battlestar Pegasus site. I have put weeks of my time into writing a fan fiction on that website, not including all of the ship files, corporation files and other pages I have created. I hope this site does not have to go for good, but if it does, at least allow me to retrieve my works from it.

It's not been a priority to put up the website for us, because of the things that have happened these past few months. The '''New Caprica Detention Center''' is a [[Cylon]] facility on [[New Caprica]] ([[Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance|The Resistance]]).

Physically, it is an imposing concrete sructure with a motorized gate of steel bars. It contains facilities for questioning prisoners which are quite reminiscent of police [[Wikipedia:Interrogation|interrogation]] rooms in the real world; they feature bare concrete walls, a small table, two metal chairs, a metal door with a small window, and harsh overhead lighting from a single source.

It is within this facility that [[Number Five]] solicits [[Jammer]] to inform the Cylons on the movements of the [[New Caprica Resistance]] ([[Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance]]).

During the [[Battle of New Caprica]] the prison is stormed by the New Caprica Resistance and [[Colonial Marine Corps|Colonial Marines]] under the command of [[Samuel Anders]] and Gunnery Sergeant [[Erin Mathias|Mathias]], freeing all inmates ([[Exodus, Part II]]).

== Notable Inmates ==

[[Saul Tigh]] is incarcerated in the center until his [[Ellen Tigh|wife]] fornicates with a copy of [[Cavil]] as part of an exchange to free her husband. Suspected to be a high ranking member of the Resistance, Saul is tortured extensively, having an eye ripped out during interrogation ([[Occupation]]).

[[Laura Roslin]] is detained briefly while being interviewed by [[Gaius Baltar]] about a [[Tucker Clellan|suicide bombing]] perpetrated by a Resistance member ([[Precipice]]).

[[Kara Thrace]] is held captive in a spacious furnished cell where she is forced to live with [[Leoben Conoy]] for the duration of the Cylon occupation, undergoing various forms of psychological abuse for reasons not clarified ([[Occupation]]). Either by coincidence or otherwise, the cell somewhat resembles Kara's apartment in [[Delphi]], and in fact it is not known for certain that the apartment is located within the detention center until the building is liberated by the resistence.

Not to start any arguments of any useful nature, but it just struck me that Simon's copies got whacked on average (screen time) much faster. :I don't know, man. He certainly wasn't the first Cylon to die, and I don't know about fastest to die either. It seems to me that Doral blowing himself up or random Sixes or Sharons getting shot on Caprica or blown up in orbit above Kobol were rather "fast" deaths.

:I think he was just caught by surprise b/c he was assuming that Starbuck didn't know about him and must not have believed there were any weapons she could use in the room. He is one of my "favorite" Cylons.

:What do you think about the diversity in the show? In TOS, there were two Black characters who were recast as White characters in the RDM series. I thought that was strange since there is generally more diversity and "gender-equality", but it seems like Simon is one of very few Black characters, although there is the addition of Asian and Latino characters like Sharon and Adama. ::Oh, I think diversity is pretty good in the show. I wouldn't even pick nits about the lack of blacks as commanders in the show, since the Original Series already did that with Terry Carter. For the most part I thought about Simon's fate very humorously, so I hope I'm not coming off as some PC, overly racially-sensitive type. I think RDM is going to show us how Cylon culture's faring on their new homes, and I'd be really amused at the relative lack of diversity with their humano-Cylons, both genetically and personally--seems to me that the Valeriis aren't very different in terms of how they react to things--the same personality. I appreciate the gender equality--girls who kick ass, like Starbuck, are always fun to watch. We've seen many supporting roles such as Elosha and Venner that have depth and interest, so in the end, race isn't that much of an issue. But Simon better learn to heal himself as I think he gets offed far too quickly. Think about it: We lose the first Six about 30 minutes into the Mini-Series, and Leobens have a short shelf life. Valeriis get offed by the dozen, although a couple persist. This model appears to be the medical specialist of the Cylons ("[[The Farm]]", "[[Six of One]]").
== Known Copies ==

This model is first seen in a doctor role, calling himself "Simon", who cares for [[Kara Thrace]] after she is shot in a Cylon ambush ([[The Farm]]).

Simon tries to casually persuade Thrace into bearing children but is unsuccessful. When his diplomatic efforts fail, he surgically explores her ovaries without Thrace's permission, either partially removing an ovary or its eggs. On orders from a copy of [[Number Six]], Four arranges a time to surgically remove Thrace's ovaries. Before Simon can sedate her again and remove her ovaries, Thrace's suspicion that he is a Cylon is confirmed. In conversation he uses her call sign, which she never mentioned in his presence. Thrace kills him and escapes from the [[farm]].

Another copy of Four is seen just as Thrace exits the building, a more well-kept copy in a dark business suit who greets Thrace just as she reaches the outside of the compound. Before he can speak further, members of the Resistance immediately kill him as they storm the Farm to liberate Thrace.

At least one other copy is seen on Cylon-occupied Caprica ([[Downloaded]]).

A Four is present in President [[Gaius Baltar|Baltar]]'s office during the [[Battle of New Caprica]] ([[Exodus, Part II]]).

One Four, assigned as part of one [[Basestar (RDM)|basestar]]'s command crew that witnesses a sister basestar's plight, determines that a decision to rescue the infected basestar cannot be reached scientifically ([[Torn]]).

A Four captured on the infected basestar near the [[Lion's Head Nebula]] is interrogated on ''[[Galactica]]''. He reveals information about the ship and the Cylons' motives for abandoning it, in exchange for a cure promised by the humans. However, there is no cure, only a treatment. This Four is permanently killed when [[Karl Agathon]] sabotages the environmental control system, killing the Cylon prisoners to stop them from being used as biological weapons ([[A Measure of Salvation]]).

A Four is shown performing a lobotomy on a [[Raider (RDM)|Raider]], which this model votes for. At least two of these models are slain by Centurions, along with two [[Number Five|Fives]] and a [[number One|One]] ([[Six of One]]). The Fours fall under [[Cavil]]'s banner in the [[Cylon Civil War]]. A team of Fours on board Cavil's Basestar were prepared to operate on [[Ellen Tigh]]'s brain to learn the secrets of [[resurrection (RDM)|resurrection]] (mentioned but not seen, [[No Exit]]). Later, a copy is shown aboard [[The Colony]] preparing the dissection of [[Hera]] ([[Daybreak, Part I]]).

Another copy, possibly the same one, is killed by [[Boomer]] when she rescues [[Hera]]. Several Number Fours are among the boarding party led by John Cavil that storms ''Galactica'' during the assault on [[The Colony]]. After a tenuous truce is declared, one Four oversees the transfer of resurrection data from the Final Five to the Colony Hybrids, but when the truce is broken when Galen Tyrol murders Tory Foster the Fours in the CIC all die in the ensuing firefight. The remaining Fours aboard the Colony all perish when it falls into the naked singularity it was orbiting and is obliterated ([[Daybreak, Part II]]).

In a flashback, a Four is shown operating a polygraph-like machine when Adama is being interviewed for a new posting shortly before the Cylon attack ([[Daybreak, Part II]]). This may be the first evidence that Fours were also involved in infiltrating the fleet.
 

==Notes==
*Actor Rick Worthy doesn't actually appear in "Downloaded" and is uncredited: briefly during the cafe scene, we see another bald black man ''from behind'', and we see him walking by in some of the outdoor scenes in the background. It is clearly implied to be Simon, however he is not credited and RDM stated in [[Podcast:Downloaded#Act 1|the podcast]] that it was just an extra standing in for him.
*Simon was the first new humanoid Cylon model revealed after the [[Miniseries]], and then brought the total number of known models to five.
