"'''A New Crew in Town'''" is a humorous music video appearing on [http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/video/index.php?cat=features&vid=35344 SciFi.com] comparing the [[Original Series]] with the [[Re-Imagined Series]].The song was written and performed and the video edited by composer/producer Dave Doré. It sets the following lyrics to fitting clips from both shows.

Let me tell you about my favorite ship. 
Back in '78 it seemed pretty hip. 
Wasn't the ''[[W:Millennium Falcon|Millennium Falcon]]'' or the ''[[w:Star Trek|Enterprise]]''. 
It was the battlestar ''[[Galactica (TOS)|Galactica]]'' that took that prize. 

Sure back then, the effects were kind of cheesy, 
but I loved it like [[w:The Jeffersons|George Jefferson loved his Weezie]]. 
It didn't worry about gravity or [[w:Inertial compensator|anything inertial]], 
and [[Apollo (TOS)|Apollo's]] hair looked like a shampoo commercial. 

But there is a [[Re-imagined Series|new crew in town]], 
they know how to throw it down. 
They make the others look like a ship full of clowns.

They had a [[daggit]] and a boy named [[Boxey (TOS)|Boxey]]. 
Now [[Starbuck (TOS)|Starbuck's]] a [[Kara Thrace|girl]] and the Cylons are [[Number Six|foxy]]. 
For Adama, [[Edward James Olmos|Eddie Olmos]] wins the fashion election. 
Instead of padded robes he chose a [[Uniforms (RDM)|different direction]]. 
Sorry [[Dirk Benedict]], I don't want you to lose [[w:The A-Team|face]], 
but I rather share my space with [[Kara Thrace]]. 

[[Gaius Baltar|Baltar]] still gushes with evil intent, 
but why is he the only one with an [[Language in the Twelve Colonies|English accent]]? 
I love hot [[Number Six]] and her [[w:Breasts|identical twins]], 
because on [[Sci Fi Channel|cable]] they are able to show a lot more skin.

*While the song seems to put down the Original Series in favor of the new series, it also shows an affectionate nostalgia for the original and pokes some fun at complaints occasionally leveled against the Re-Imagined Series, such as
**The excessive alcohol consumption of characters like [[Saul Tigh]] and [[Kara Thrace]].
**The use of old technology, like phones with cords, instead of high-tech.
**The relatively explicit sex, especially concerning Cylons.
* Although Baltar is by far the most prominent character with an English accent, there is also [[Layne Ishay]].
* The line "Sorry Dirk Benedict, I don't want you to lose face" could be a reference to his role as Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck in ''[[w:The A-Team|The A-Team]]''.
