Formed in 2009, ANOVOS was awarded the license to CBS's ''[[MemoryAlpha:Star Trek|Star Trek]]'' to produce replica uniforms from not only [[MemoryAlpha:J.J. Abrams|J.J. Abrams]]'s ''Star Trek'' film but also the preceding films and television series, including the [[MemoryAlpha:Star Trek: The Original Series|original 1966 television series]]. After being awarded the ''Star Trek'' license, NBC Universal awarded ANOVOS with the license for the Re-imagined Series.

In May 2010, ANOVOS launched the licensed line of rank device pins for the enlisted crew members of the [[Colonial Fleet (RDM)|Colonial Fleet]]. As they are manufactured by the same Canadian-based company that manufactured the pins for the production, using the same standards, their replica pins match the production made pins. Each pin is offered as a pair and placed in a custom-designed jewelry box constructed of black faux leather using the cut-corner style from the series. A symbol of the Colonial Phoenix is placed on the inside of the jewelry box, with the pins placed in the bottom. Each silver pin is made of nickel and each recessed area is hand-filled and stamped in with the appropriate colors. The gold and silver pins are 24 karat gold plated, with nickel plating for the silver areas.<ref name="anovos-pins"/>

The center of the flight wings and the dress uniform ''Battlestar Galactica'' pins use the lost wax investment casting process.<ref name="anovos-pins"/>

=== Costumes ===

ANOVOS is slated to release two high-quality replicas of costumes worn in the series. As of right now, the company is slated to release:

* Enlisted Battle Dress Uniform
* Double Tank Top Set

The enlisted battle dress uniforms will be created by the same manufactures and with processes (such as enzyme washing) used to colorize them to the ''Galactica'' green, and outfitted with a shoulder patch (or "flash").

The double tank top set will use the same patterns that were used in the production, and will consist of the grey sleeveless undershirt and the olive drab tank.
