WGA strike

The ongoing Writers Guild of America strike has resulted in the suspended production of the Re-imagined Series's fourth season, along with the majority of scripted US TV and film. The strike began on 5 November 2007, by which time 11 episodes (half) of Season 4 had been completed.

There is widespread support for the strike among cast, crew and fans. Show-runner Ron D. Moore's new blog keeps a track on various strike-related activities including the "Pencils2MediaMoguls" campaign.

A deal brokered in early February 2008 looks likely to be ratified by the WGA membership. Productions may resume as early as 13 February 2008. E! Online has suggested, based on comments by writer Jane Espenson, that production on Battlestar Galactica will resume quite quickly, but the remaining episodes of Season 4 may not air until the autumn of 2008 or the start of 2009.
