The ongoing Writers Guild of America strike has resulted in the suspended production of the Re-imagined Series's fourth season, along with the majority of scripted US TV and film. The strike began on 5th November 2006, by which time 11 episodes (half) of Season 4 had been completed.

The strike continues, and may result in season 4 having a large mid-season hiatus, being split into two separate seasons or the series as a whole ending prematurely.

There is widespread support for the strike among cast, crew and fans. Show-runner Ron D. Moore's new blog keeps a track on various strike-related activities including the "Pencils2MediaMoguls" campaign.

As of 4th February 2008 the writers and producers are engaged in negotiations. Though a news blackout is in effect by both sides, rumours have emerged that a deal is near.[1]
