The Fleet reaches the end of the void, and the Colonials celebrate. Meanwhile, Apollo is worried about Boxey who is upset at Starbuck's absense.

Later, while unobserved, Boxey decides to steal a Viper to go and save Starbuck. Taking a shortcut, Boxey ends up in the ship's engine room, exposed to radiation, and nearly dies but for the intervention of Muffit, who dies in the effort to save him.
