The 15 Yahren Reunion
This convention was held from October 15-17, 1993 at the Universal City Hilton in Los Angeles, CA.
Attendees included executive producer Glen Larson, special effects expert John Dykstra, costume designer Jean-Pierre Dorleac, composer Stu Phillips, story editors Jim Carlson and Terry McDonnell, and producer Harker Wade. The actors who showed up included Richard Hatch, Dirk Benedict, Anne Lockhart, and Sarah Rush.
Unfortunately, in the weeks leading up to the convention, the employees at the hotel continually told people that the convention wasn't being held there. No one knows exactly why, but they managed to saboutage the convention, resulting in a low turnout. John Colicos arrived the day of the convention and, after being told it wasn't there, simply went home.
It was believed that the Fox network was considering a revival of Galactica at the time, but the low turnout at the convention may have played a hand in their decision to nix the idea.[1]
